Deleted posts: can I get them back?

If my post was deleted by another user, is it deleted for good or is there somewhere I can see it still? I see in my blog posts still reference to a deleted blog post, so is there something like that for "invisible" deleted posts? Thanks.

Deleted posts are not available. The staff can see them but in most cases once they are gone they are gone.
