Hey everyone, (to moderators if this is in wrong location i am sorry)
So from what I have seen on the forum anything about this company is a few months old so I wanted to do a shout out for them along with some juice reviews. A little about me first of course the normal disclosure that I do not work for this company or am any way affiliated with this company. Nothing was sent to me for free (well unless you count there free samples they send to anyone who pays shipping –great deal btw) and this is my first time ever ordering from them. That being said I also have only been vaping since November and while I feel I have accumulated a great amount of knowledge I am still juice hunting and being poor have yet to order from the more expensive companies. I also realize taste is a very subjective thing I hate any and all tobacco flavors along with menthol but sweet fruity vapes are my love which is not everyone else cup of tea. Okay so long intro over on to Delightful Vapors (DV from here on out) and what I think of the company and its juice. (For those who do not want to read the whole review list PLEASE skim to the last review of strawberry meringue for my shout out to this company)
Equipment: All juice is tested on my Vamo with a ikenvape 306 LR atty at 7w or an Ikenvape 901 LR atty at 8w after each juice atty is blown out then vaped with just plain pg to clean out previous flavor also want to note I am only drinking filtered water during tasting and am not eating anything. All my juice was 12mg 50/50 mix these have all been tasted on first opening of box and again a day later, with the lid off in a dark area, as I am writing this so I can make sure I get the flavor right and if a day of airing makes a difference on flavor.
Butterscotch Cappuccino (901 atty): So like many vapers who love coffee I am also on the great coffee vape hunt. This juice is very light in color which surprised me as most coffee juices have been very dark in color but this does not hinder its flavor at all. First impression out of the box is a very strong coffee flavor and on exhale a slight butterscotch flavor, it had a good throat hit and very good vapor production however not quite as sweet as I would like it to be. Second day impression is that in just one day the butterscotch flavor has come out a bit more which has helped increase that sweetness I want yet still a strong coffee flavor in the background, now some people might find this coffee flavor to strong or a bit on the burnt side. Going to let this steep for a bit and see if that helps mellow out that coffee flavor and if not maybe add some sweet cream to this. Over all though a very good coffee vape in my opinion after that intial 24 hours with the lid off you can defiantly distinguish the butterscotch flavor even through the coffee flavor and it’s got a nice sweetness to it on inhale. On exhale its pure very strong black coffee straight up. This is a keeper in my book and I will keep you posted on how it ages. 8/10 would defiantly order this again.
Banana Cream Pie (306 atty): First impression of this juice out of the box was interesting it was almost overwhelming a pie crust flavor with just a hint of banana. Fast-forward a day with the lid off and the banana has defiantly come through and is very creamy and I get a nice graham cracker like crust on the exhale with a hint of butter. It really does taste like a banana cream pie to me, however for some reason I am getting a hint of a cinnamon like flavor on the exhale as well... this is not bad just unexpected its very faint but defiantly there for me. While this juice is a sweet vape it does not feel cloyingly sweet to me like some banana vapes I have had in the past tend to be. Throat hit on this is light at 12 mg especially compared to the butterscotch cappuccino vapor production is what I would consider normal not great big fluffy clouds but there is enough for me. Over all good flavor it just seems to be missing something for me will let it steep and then retry and see if it gets any better. This rates 7/10 I might order this again.
(All sample sizes come at 18mg pg/vg content unknown according to communications through DV all samples are also mixed at ordering)
Appleberry (306 atty): First impression WOW just plain OMG yum, okay going to try to be very unbiased with this juice but it will be very hard. On first vape straight out of the box I get sweet crisp apple that mingles just perfectly with nice ripe strawberry perfection, on exhale the two flavors blend together in harmony neither over powering the other. This is a perfectly sweet and yet slightly tart refreshing vape that I can’t put down. At 18mg it’s a bit harsh of a throat hit for me and yet that hasn’t stopped me from vaping this juice, the vapor production is also very good. My 3ml bottle is pretty much gone and I currently have it upside down to get those last few drops into an atty so I can vape it. Okay that was a bit of gushing unbiased reviewing is hard when you really like something, and my order for more is already being processed (90 ML at 12mg is on its way here). This is a beautifully crafted fruity vape and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes sweet fruit vapes with just a hint of tartness. For this flavor alone DV has a repeat customer Rating a 9/10 (until I get the 12mg and do a comparison I can’t give this juice a 10/10)and already I have ordered more finally after 5 months searching I think I have found my all day vape!
Hypnofruit (306 atty): First impression of this is flashback to childhood and fruit stripe gum right down to the gum flavor base that gum had. That being said this is not a bad vape at all, it has a good fruity flavor, I can’t really describe the flavor in itself it taste like fruit stripe gum indescribable fruitiness, this does have a slightly weird flavor in the background which also to me seems to be part of the memory of fruit stripe gum a gum base chalky like flavor. It’s really hard to describe but to me it spot on to my memories of that gum it almost makes me want to go out and buy a pack of it just to compare my memory to this vape. For 18mg the throat hit on this seems to be a bit weak while vapor quality on it seems to be pretty good, this leads me to believe it’s got a higher vg content over pg without knowing the percentages it’s hard to say what the throat hit would be like. Flash-forward to now and the flavor on this has not changed in the slightest its exactly as I described above, overall I give this a 6/10 for nostalgic purposes I might order this again in a small bottle to drip occasionally.
Sweet &Tangy (306 atty): First impression of this juice is not my cup of tea; I get an overwhelming candy peachy flavor followed by a nice tang. The issue is I don’t like peaches in any form or variety, candy flavor or natural peach is just not my thing. Jump to the next day and the tartness has beaten the sweet so now I get a very grapefruity vape with a hint of peach on the end for sweetness. Its defiantly sweet and tangy the sweet dominates on the inhale and on the exhale I get the tang, yet its two flavors I just don’t particularly careful that dominates my palate sweet peach and tangy grapefruit. Again throat hit on this one seems fairly light while vapor is pretty good. Overall I give this a 5/10 its not completely unvapable and I bet someone would really love this flavor which is why I can’t give it a really low score however for me I would probably never buy this flavor.
Strawberry Meringue (306 atty): (note please read all this review special circumstances apply, This was not a sample it is 12mg 50/50) Okay so this out of the box was just awful, I don’t mean bad I mean so bad that it lingered on my atty’s I tried three different ones to make sure it wasn’t my equipment, and had to eventually soak them in alcohol to get the flavor out. It was like rotting strawberries with a sickly sweet artificial note in the background I even broke out a new atty that had to be soaked in alcohol to get the flavor out to make sure it wasn’t my other atties(it wasn’t). Even the vapor exhaled smelled as bad as it tasted and was so strong that my bf who is a non-vapor commented on its awfulness. Usually on bad vapes I chalk it up to my taste buds or just not my cup of tea or I let it steep cause the bad is perfumey or alchoholy in flavor, this was not that at all, so I did the one thing I have never done I didn’t even wait for steeping I just threw it straight in the garbage. I couldn’t even subject this on another person in trade.
So fast-forward to a lot later in the evening as I have already placed an order for more apple berry as I said above and I am thinking what if there strawberry flavoring is bad.. At this point I didn’t know if they premixed the samples for shipment or not. So I decided to contact them and see what was what and if my appleberry is going to have this awful flavor in it, I emailed them at like 2 am and the next morning I got a response back. As it was in a personal email I don’t believe I can copy and paste but a condensed version of our correspondence is they agreed with me that something was defiantly wrong with my mix but they don’t think it was in the strawberry as all juice is mixed to order. They do realize that juice is subjective to everyone and I think I am very fair in stating when something is not to my liking and they agreed my description is quite possibly due to a badly mixed batch of juice. They also to my shock offered to send out a new bottle of this juice for me to try again (now I am kind of mixed feelings on this as the memory of the previous bottle is burned into my taste buds and it lingered badly every time I breathed I got a taste of this until hours later) however I will give everyone a second chance and agreed to trying another bottle.
Mostly my email to this company was to make sure my apple berry would be coming to me as I remember my sample bottle to taste I was not expecting anything more. This is why I am doing this very long review on their juices as I want to SHOUT OUT about this company for their prices and there customer service. The prices are very good 100 ml of juice deal (3 30ml an 1 10ml and yes you can get all one flavor I am in appleberry) plus there free samples with payment of shipping for under 30 bucks you really can’t go wrong. Top it off so far I have not had any really terrible flavors other than the strawberry meringue and that is quite possibly because of a mixing mistake which do happen. Then there customer service is above and beyond anything I have had so far. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
