Delivery Status: Accept or Pick up

Delivery Status: Accept or Pick up

Any idea what this means? I mean, I know what the words mean, but I've never seen this as a delivery status before. Normally status will say - Received by Facility, Processed through Facility, Departed Facility, Arrival, Sorting, Out for Delivery, and my personal favorite Delivered!!

I really can't drive all the way to California to pick it up, so I'm hoping that is not what it means.

I have seen this when an attempt was made to deliver the package but nobody was home to sign for it.

Accept = you will allow them attempt to deliver it again, usually the next day.

Pick Up = do not attempt another delivery, you will go to the post office and pick it up.

Sorry, but based on the fact it is in CA, I have no idea what it's about.

Nope it started in California. I got my electronic notice (that first thingy that you get from stamps.com) and now it just says pick up or accept. It hasn't gone anywhere.

I would call USPS. Scary as that might be, not as bad as going to CA.

Have your tracking number handy.

Although unlikely, this could be a ploy by CA recruiters to lure you there. Be very careful!

I tried calling USPS but they was busy...something about some holiday and lots of prezzies going out. I got bored after 30 minutes on hold and hung up. I think that was part of their master plan. I've been calling the company I'm receiving my order from thinking they might have an answer but they are not answering. Here's a cut'n'paste of my stamps.com thingy... I'm not sure how the cut and paste will turn out so don't laugh.

Well, if you want some sympathy, take a look at my package that is in progress:

Dec 2: Electronic Shipping Info Received
Dec 3: Accepted at USPS Origin Sort Facility
Dec 3: Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility

Dec 4: Processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility
Dec 5: Processed at USPS Sort Facility

The package origin is less than 100 miles from here.
