Not really. Melting point is something about 600 F. Just a bit above boiling point of PG.

For tape, Teflon tape is extremely heat resistant. It's the only tape we use for holding guide tubes together inside extruder heads, but 600 certainly isn't the melt point for pelletized extruder grade Teflon...

that one actually made me look up melting points. Compared to Delrin (~350F) , Teflon actually is higher at ~620F

I think ill order some more of these 'teflon' drip tips. whether theyre really teflon or not, it's some kind of different material because it looks different and has better white color.

its 623.33F to be exact the MSDS says 600 K so do the math [°F] = [K] × 9⁄5 − 459.67 or if your like me and that means absolutely nothing the 600$ for a I6 comes in handy with a converter ;-)

heres some actual picture of teflon drip tip compared to delrin drip tip

the teflon one is on the left, the teflon one is like someone took some whitening to their teeth, while the delrin one has some transparency to it. picking them up and touching them again, i can tell the difference a bit more now. The teflon one is more slippery and hard to get a grip on, it was tough to pull off my atomizer. the plastic one i can grip very easily.

my poor vaporshark has battlescars from when i dropped it a few days ago

Do you vape any cinnamon , bandanna or apple vape juice? Just wondered if it would react with Teflon Ive had it melt some DTs before I went to SS then eventually Glass. I would imagine Teflon having a smooth silky texture also.

Im not sure how close it is to cinnamon, but one of my regular vaping flavors is cinnamon sugar cookie. I been using delrin driptips with it and it never melted. These new teflon ones also not melting yet. Although Im not sure how you mean melt, I only use RDA's so they're never really in contact with the liquid, just the condensation that piles up inside the drip tip every once in a while.

I don't think there's anything one can vape which would cause genuine Teflon to chemically melt...

PTFE

It’s easy to see how Eaton Everflex® hoses made with durable Teflon® Resin deliver extreme temperature and abrasion resistance. Excelling in a variety of applications where chemical resistance, low coefficient of friction, flexibility and non-aging characteristics are essential, Eaton Everflex hoses are the premier Teflon® Resin hoses for trucks, chemicals, hot melt, paper and pulp, hot presses, steam, packaging, paint, machinery and more.

The worst juice was Atomic Fish a strong cinnamon cherry flavor I had it make a dt so soft the base broke off in a cartomizer so maybe melt is not the right word react is a better description.

not sure but, from what ive read on teflon it says its heat resistant and chemically resistant. So I guess a teflon driptip would be better than delrin. The teflon drip tips all only come in white though, but is a really nice white imo.

yea its all glowy white Its like the Osmond's smiling at you every time you look at your mod :D

I absolutely prefer Teflon drip tips over Delrin. The Teflon has a different feel to it, and does resist crud build up better. Delrin just feels like a hard, cheap plastic. Teflon feels like... Teflon.

They look very different in person to me as well, but it doesn't translate as well in pictures. The Teflon seems more opaque, while white Delrin is somewhat translucent and shiny.
