My first post, how exciting. :) Well, I found out about e cigs awhile ago but only recently decided to make the switch. I lurked on here for awhile and read up on some info of what to buy. Bought what appears to be a decent first purchase of a kit with two egos for $45 at a flea market last Sunday. If I had more money, I would have bought two kits, as I gave the 2nd ego to my bf. So as of right now, I'm hoping this ego won't have any issues until I can buy something else. I also bought some 16mg vanilla from the vendor and it's been a learning curve keeping the cartridge full for some reason. Seems like I've been using more juice then was stated was needed.
I haven't had a cigarette since that Sunday night when I was charging my battery for the first time. :thumb:
Still reading info on here...the amount of vaping choices is a bit overwhelming.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone since I have the feeling I'll be here for many more months reading, reading, reading. I do tend to read much more then I post.

I sit here typing this with a slightly sore throat (which I always got if I quit analogs) and my gums are sore (apparently, possibly another side affect from not smoking anymore) and another strange side effect which I haven't seen mentioned in the forum yet...my mouth is watering something awful.

But I'm happy to be off cigarettes and a big thank you to everyone who contributes info on here.

Random vendor's juice is probably 100% PG Chinese juice. Nicotine is most irritating in 100% PG juice/vapor. Buy some juice with a bit of VG in it. And try cartomizers (hold more liquid, need liquid less often, each has its own internal atomizer coil - downside is they have limited lives. With fairly clear 80PG/20Vg or 90PG/10VG juices I can usually get 10+ days use out of a Boge carto)

Welcome out of lurkdom.
My first week of posting here too. I'm finishing up my 5th week without cigs. There's a lot to learn, a lot to try, and a lot of help here if you need it. I've kinda started thinking of this as a new hobby...even started mixing my own liquids yesterday. I think by looking at it that way it will keep me interested long enough to forget about cigs!

Nice to see another new face from Florida too!

Good luck and hang in there...and enjoy the journey.
