Dentist -- VICTORY!

I had my six-month this morning and my hygienist said my teeth were in better condition than she'd ever seen them. Or, to quote, "Whatever you're doing, keep doing it."

I had minimal tartar (which doesn't seem to link to vaping), minimal staining, and the dentist wants to take the opportunity to replace a filling in my front tooth. It's getting old and loose anyway and, according to him, the color no longer matches how white my teeth are.

Both took the news that I quit smoking and started vaping with only positive comments.

So let's hear it for Colgate Optic-White to clean the stains and vaping!

Very cool. I was wondering if anyone noticed a difference in their teeth since they started vaping. I drank a lot of soda in my teens and obviously the smoking didn't help so my teeth aren't perfect as far as shade goes. 4 years of braces made them look good in the alignment part but I do want to get them bleached or do something nice for em' since I know I have no need to smoke anymore. Cool topic. Rock on with your Pearly Whites!!!:D

This reminds me that I need to make a dentist appointment soon. I am way overdue for a checkup. Glad to hear that vaping had a positive effect on your dental health. I know I did a lot of damage to my teeth due to smoking cigarettes in the past - ended up having to get all my wisdom teeth taken out, despite the fact that they were all coming in smoothly, because of the decay from smoking cigarettes :( I still keep these rotten teeth to remind me not to go back to smoking.

I had my wisdom teeth torn out at age 17, there wasn't enough room in there for them! Luckily, I only had 3 anyway, and the surgery was effortless.

I've had my teeth whitened, so they're about one step under white Chicklet when completely clean. Given the natural color (deep ivory with brown streaking), I was really unhappy with them. It wasn't that expensive and worth every penny.

About a half dozen people have asked if I've whitened them further since I started with the Optic White. It really did help to clean the staining but won't do a thing for tartar.

My hygienist did warn me that I might see a bit of gum bleeding from quitting, and not to worry about it unless it becomes constant or more than a tiny bit. It's apparently normal. So far, nothing.

My Dentist was great about it. All the them were congratulating me on quitting and asked lots of questions about vaping. My staining was terrible before and I thought it was due more to tea and coffee. It was def the cigs. I am going to get some of that optic white. I have very sensitive teeth so hope it will work for me.
