Is the DES 901 Ultimate Starter Kit on thesmokelessshop.com the same as the Black Pocket ECigarette Mini DSE901 on puresmoker.com? The model seems to be the same description; however, the smokeless shop one seems to have a gold ring around it (atomizer?) and the puresmoker one doesn't - or at least not as much gold.

Katy from smokeless is great. The kit the you mentioned is a greater starter. It is the same one I purchased. It's my understanding that the the 901's from smokeless and puresmoker are completely compatible.
I haven't dealt with Steve from puresmoker but I know he's doing something right. But don't scuff at Katy just because she doesn't get talked about as much. haha. I would definitely go with smokeless, you can't beat the deal you'll be getting with the Ultimate kit. Her service is impecible and, weather pending, she ships very quickly. I ordered on a wednesday and it was on my doorstep that friday.

Not sure what your question is. One has an atomizer with a gold ring; the other has black. They are both penstyles. Granted, one could be model 801 or RN4072, but I don't think there's much difference between the two performance-wise. You would probably have to ask the sellers which model it was, if it mattered that much to you. Otherwise, they are both penstyles with different color atomizers.
BTW....Steve's are 4 hole atomizers (which I tend to prefer) but I don't know what the other ones are.

They are the exact same. I bought the white kit from smokelessshop and puresmoker. They were the same. And the black units would be as well. The puresmoker one WILL have gold on it, it's part of the battery. It's the brass electronic connector betweeen battery and atomizer. I haven't yet seen any kind of model in black without the gold bit.
Flip a coin to decide between who to order from I suppose. For value for money, the smokelessshop.com ultimate kit is a great buy. If you get all the extras separately it would cost a lot more

It may just be a difference in the pictures.. I believe that they both have the gold ring where the battery and atomizer meet.
I haven't actually seen the all black either, but I am going by the pic. Who knows....maybe they found a way to paint that part black? But I really don't know because I haven't seen one for myself.
All I know is there is a gold band around my atomizer that is visible. It's around the atomizer on the outside.

I placed my order for my first starter kit from Katy on Thursday. Been emailing back and forth for a bit this week and so far her service and communication has been great.
I was going to order from puresmoker but this kit comes with more extras - usb charger, spare carts, batteries, atomizer, case, refil syringe and a bottle of juice. It looked like an awesome kit to get started with.
As soon as it arrives i'll be trying it out .... can't wait

Dont really matter if its a DSE901 or a RN4075, the parts are interchangable.
There is no real difference between them parts wise.
I just looked, Steve's is marked DSE901, so they are exactly the same. The pics may be different.

In case anyone's interested, the black atomizers I just got from Puresmoker for the 801 had the black band, not gold. And that was great because I just happen to prefer the black to the gold band

I can vouch for both of these sellers. I bought my starter kit from Katy. EXCELLENT service. She called me to confirm my order and recently shipped out 3 atomizers VERY quickly to me when mine died. Puresmoker has great juice and great service. His shipping is very fast....bizarrely (is that a word?) fast.

Yes, that is the penstyle. I never even realized it was all black until your post. Had never bought any from Steve so I didn't know. Now I'm glad I did!
