Describe your experience on vaping at public places.

  • I start using it right away without asking anyone and if confronted, tell them to leave me alone.

  • I ask someone if it's ok to smoke my e-cigarette and if told no, get angry and leave.

  • I ask someone if it's ok to smoke my e-cigarette and if not, agree and offer more information.

  • I ask someone if it's ok to use my personal vaporizer and if not, agree and offer more information.

  • I ask someone if it's ok to use my personal vaporizer and it's ok, vape like a madman.

  • I ask someone if it's ok to use my personal vaporizer and it's ok, vape when I need to.

  • I do something completely different.

The antis that would go out of their way when I was smoking always ticked me off. One of my favorites (sarcasm intended) are the ones that start coughing and waving their hand in front of their face when the cigarette isnt even lit. One of my other favorites are the ones that tell their kids to go over and confront the smoker rather than doing it themselves.

Was outside at the Houston Rodeo, waiting on shuttle to pick me up, and a woman about 8 ft from me noticed my vaping and started the hand waving in front of her face bit and moved further away from me. She never said anything, though (neither to me nor to the person she was with), so I didnt say anything to her. At the time I was using a black DSE901 with orange led. That's probably the closest I've come to a confrontation by an anti when vaping.

My wife and I went to an amusement park here in NJ (Great Adventure) over the weekend, and they have the security gates at the entrance with the metal detectors and guards with wooden dowels to poke through your bags.

My wife went through security with our backpack containing my "survival kit" with juice, extra batteries and atomizers, etc. The guard poking through the bag paid it no mind, perhaps because it was a clear plastic bag and the contents were visible.

When going through the metal detectors, they usually have plastic baskets to empty the contents of your pockets into, but the gate I went through had none. I only had my wallet, keys and my 901, so I handed them to the guard who immediately began to eye the 901.

To my surprise, the guard then simply said, "Is this a cigarette?"

"Why yes it is, an electronic one." I replied, "I will only use it in the designated smoking areas." (I wasn't going to try to go the "personal vaporizer" route) ;)

"You better." she said smiling, handing me back my stuff. That was that.

I vaped in the areas where people were smoking analogs and had no problems from anyone.
