I was trying to describe to someone what smoking a hookah is like, the taste of it, and how it's different from an ecig... And I was completely at a loss. How do you describe something like that?
Who has even tried smoking with a hookah. I never even heard of smoking with one of these and I smoked for 40 years.
It is kind of a fad at the moment in my area, there is a hookah bar in town that sells disposable tips and the tobacco (shisha i think it's called) you use in it and you just sit around and smoke and drink coffee.Who has even tried smoking with a hookah. If your "smoking" a hookah, you're not doing it right. There is no smoke, just vapor. The Shisha is wet with a mixture that includes PG or Glycerine. The coal sits on top and heats the Shisha, then vaporizes the liquid. When it is spent, none of the tobacco should be burned, just dried up.
There is also a little link on that page about e-cigarettes. They have obviously done no research on either. If the shisha is not burned, how can it be compared to smoking cigarettes. If it was lit, like a traditional water pipe, yes, it would be much worse than smoking cigarettes because it is not filtered and the smoke would be cooled by the water. So it would be easier to inhale large amounts. But, if its done right, hookah tobacco should not be burned. There will be a little carbon monoxide from the coal, but otherwise it does the same thing that e-cigarettes do, it vaporizes the liquid. It just does it in a different way.
Any hookah vaporizes, as long as you have the right shisha, and use the metal screen, or aluminum foil on top with a clean burning coal. Liquid wouldn't work, because it would just drip through the holes in the bowl. You could get some tobacco or herbs and soak it in the liquid, that should work. As far as studies, all I see is reports saying its like smoking a pack of cigarettes in one sitting, but so is sitting behind a semi truck. I haven't seen any actual studies, just doctors and the like assuming that the tobacco is burned.
it's heavier then the vapor from your e-cig but lighter then cigarette smoke. it's like half smoke half vapor.I was sort of wondering how to describe the... Texture, I guess? A friend of mine once described it at smoking a cloud, but I was looking for something a little more descriptive than that, easier to understand...
