Im in the Military and currently deployed overseas. We often go on temporary detachments while deployed ranging from a few days to a month or so.

I was called upon to go on a two week long detachment to another country. No big deal to me, Ive done it many times before. I always take an extra atty or two and some extra juice as well as the charger etc...This time, I already had a new atty on my VVG, so I only took one extra one as well as another ounce of juice.

Day 1 in the country, my pretty-much new atty dies. At this point Im not too concerned since I brought a brand new one with me. I pop it on and vape away. They usually last me at least a month, so I figured I had nothing to worry about....

Day 4. I finish my work then take a vape and get a bad burnt taste. I squonk and it doesnt help. Im pretty sure the Reo fired in my pocket for an unknown amount of time. I pull the drip tip to inspect the coil, I press the button and nothing happens........my heart sinks. My only back-up atty is dead after 3 days of use. Panic slowly sets in as I search my luggage for any extra cartomizers that I may have left in. I find nothing. Knowing I had about 10 days left, I had to do the unthinkable. I purchased two packs of my previous analogues for $22 a PACK!! Right at my 1-year mark with the VVG

TBC...

 Holy Crap!
I don't suppose you're in a country with a vaping shop...:?: Ya...I thought so. I can imagine how foul those cigs taste after all this time.

Now, I know you were fond of your HH357...I totally burned the crap out of mine once. Like for nearly 10 minutes. Left the mod in my car and something rolled over on top of it and fired the button. ANYWAY...I let it cool, then rinsed it, primed it and it was nearly good as new. I know, chances are the coil broke....but in case it didn't....be sure to rinse your atty and then take a good look. You may be able to bring it back to life. In the meantime, I'll be crossing my fingers for you that you're detachment is a short assignment and you'll be back with the rest of your gear in no time.

And as always, Thank You for your service, Mike. :)

Abrams main battle tanks use an alternator that provides electricity to traverse the turret. Take the alternator apart, cannibalize the resistance wire and use it to wrap a new coil. You'll be back to vaping before you know it.

Note: Until you are able to replace the alternator make sure the tank's gun barrel is always pointed at the enemy... or learn to lay down a smoke screen by vaping really, really hard.

Buy a mess of shorty cartos and stuff a few in your glove box, a few in your luggage, a few in your desk at work, etc. They're great back-ups for situations like this.

Sorry about your atty troubles. Maybe you can get your hands on a replacement before your detachment ends.

Totally agree, except in your case, tape em to the mag :)

Pm me your address and I'll ship some stuff to you

I know FedEx will ship to an APO, but given the amount of time it'll take to get there, plus the fact that if he's on deployment he won't be able to get there to pick it up, he probably won't get anything anyone ships until he gets back from deployment, maybe longer.

Edit: Replace deployment with detachment. I used to have to ship .... overseas for military demonstrations and such, it's a pain in the ....

Seems like they should have some sort of priority while being over there. What a shame. Bro needs his vape stuff! Thanks for the info...The offer still stands though. I'd be happy to ship any needed supplies, even if they don't make it in time

Thanks for the support guys, unfortunately I dont even have an address here! I do have an FPO address at our deployment location, but thats also where my vape stash is!

Last night I couldnt take it anymore. I started messing around with both my dead atties. With the atty connected to the Reo and the fire button held down, I poked at the coil with a toothpick trying to see if it would make contact. Sadly the first atty coil was broke right in the middle. The second one..was a different story. While pushing the coil around I was able to hear faint sizzles. I switched out the wood toothpick for a metal fork. Care full not to short the mod with the fork, I pushed slightly harder on the coil and pressed the fire button....this time a true miracle happened...the coil began to work again. Im not sure if the coil is just resting making contact or the coil somehow welded itself back together...but its been working for almost 24 hours now..

Disaster averted for now....Now lets hope it lasts about 10 more days!
Thank you for letting me share my scary vape story:)

I've been smoking nasty 8 dollar Maverick Menthol 100's for 2 days now too!
In the states, in my own home! haha. I can't help it. I ran out of juice and I've NO job NO money.
Not wanting to completely waste my dear mum's $$ I went with buying cigs rather than disposables.
I won't be getting a paycheck until the 20th soooo there are a lot of cigarettes in my future.
I'm trying my BEST to literally choke down this horrible juice I bought a while back but its not happening.
This juice is so bad that the vendor issued a refund to everyone whom bought the batch it came from.
Sooo I'm basically vaping recalled juice. lol. I have a ton of attys tanks etc but nooo juice.

I'm glad to hear your atty came back to life though! WOW I want to try that with some dead attys i have now.
Now thats some good luck. I hope you enjoy the rest of your deployment man. May your vape, vape great.

What branch? We love our military! You drop the APO and we'll have you a care package on it's way to set you straight when you get back, even if you do have a stash. :D

Im Navy. Thanks for the generous offer, I really appreciate it, but thankfully, our 6 month long deployment ends in about 3 weeks and Ill finally be returning home, just in time (hopefully) to see the birth of my son on 27 May!!

The atty is going strong still and I have about $50 worth (2 packs lol) as backup...just in case. Its the strangest thing, I never thought I could bring an atty back to life! THANK GOD it worked!
