Recently the DWMHA posted a Billboard saying "E-Qually Dangerous" suggesting vaping and smoking were the same. It posted a phone number to call for help. Their FB page has been blasted. Just scroll down to see their post of the billboard and check out the lambasting on their review page.

A woman then called the help line and got the run around. It's hilarious and sad. This is her second call to them.

Now a 3rd call where they finally get her to the American Lung Association:

Yeah, I can no longer post to their FB page or even Like any of the comments there. I take it they didn't care for my comments or my 1 star review. Last I saw, they had closed their Twitter page to everyone but confirmed followers. They got blasted on Twitter as well. It was great, lol.

Saying vaping is equally as dangerous as smoking is like saying electric engines are equally as harmful as combustible engines. It boggles my mind how the same people that support electric cars (which is nearly everyone), even with limited knowledge of engines, would condemn vaping. Seriously, people are so easily brainwashed it is scary.

Oh wow, just saw that in a FB group. Fantastic! If what we all banded together and did was the cause of its removal, that's a reminder that we can make a difference.

Also, it so happened that DWMHA's chief medical officer had made a public statement that she thought vaping was probably safer than smoking. Whoever was responsible for that billboard, I hope they got read the riot act.

Are they trying to drive people crazy with that type of service? Ensuring job security?
It is shameful that an agency that should be sensitive to people in serious need of help are set-up such that folks who finally do call for help are getting recordings and given other numbers to call that, even if they do play the bouncy bouncy game, in the end will likely just be more frustrated than if they hadn't called to begin with.

The same sham gets played everywhere. Folks that really need the help get passed from desk to desk, service to service, one layer of BS to another layer of BS.

Any sane person would lose it in the process, let alone folks with real needs. It's all about the money, the funding, the optics, not about helping people out when they need it most. DISGRACEFUL!

Left a message, asking them if they ever heard of 'A Billion Lives'?

But I feel it is really useless to fight at this stage. Until we can affect top down change in this country this admin is going to do whatever they want, regardless of what the truth is. They are impervious to the subject (Truth) and so are their sheeple.

I live in a community next door to Detroit. It's very odd they would bother with this issue at all. A recent study finds that Detroit kids have one of the lowest smoking rates in the nation. There are no vape shops in the city limits the last time I checked.

An argument I like to make is about comparing my past smoking with a low income family where the parents smoke. I spent $3,000 a year smoking a carton a week. Now I mix e liquid that costs $30 a year. So consider that low income family where the parents are smokers, they switch to vaping as I did and mix at home as I do and the household saves $6,000 a year. That money is a huge benefit to the kids in that family and there are lots of families in Detroit like that. For this organization to ignore that means they need a psychiatric examination.

You will never effect change from the top down without starting from the bottom. The peoples (voters) perception needs to be altered first, this is exactly what BP, BT and local governments are doing right now with BS like this, and what we should be doing more of. It is nice to see things like "A Billion Lives" and that BBC special. It would be really nice to see some of these bigger, or groups of smaller, companies take the 30 second videos The Truth About Vaping has put together and buy meaningful commercial time. We already know how easily most believe whatever is feed to them, we just need to do more feeding outside of our vape community.

We need to educate people who really just don't care either way, they are the majority, and up until this point they have only seen what BP, BT and governments want them to see. We know this billboard is complete BS, but to this majority that don't smoke, don't vape....it must be true.

Randy, with all due respect, you assertion that we need to change the opinions of those that don`t have any skin in the game, sounds like a non-sequitor. The sheeple just want to graze on the government supplied grass, man.

The facts are out there, they are just being ignored for political and monetary gain. We need a more populist approach, where truth trumps political gain. No, I did not mean to make those puns, LOL, they just assembled themselves all on their own.

Those "sheeple" still vote, though, so it's definitely worth getting the truth out there.

Ya, there should be a IQ test for voting. You know, just to keep opinions in "RealityLand". As a plus, proving you are a living-breathing "citizen" would help also.

That`s just my own Fantasy, I know.
