Looks cool but with the size and design I'd only use it occasionally and if it's made of zinc it's probably pretty weighty, I'll pass.

Actually I wouldnt.
Had enough Zinc Alloys in Kitchen appliances to know that they dont like to be dropped

Yah zinc cast does not like drops its durable for scratching but drop shock will crack it or even break apart as with all casted things. But i just like the look of it i always loved the xenomorph designs. I just know a few ppl here seen it months ago thought i share that its a real deal not just a pretty picture to look at.
I am one of the few i guess that really doesn't get anything out of this mod , nice design but a small box mod appeals to be more (OK i'm a weirdo) , my mods have never been seen by anybody anyway , i purposely stay to myself ( not a huge fan of the current human race) and i'm mostly nocturnal .
I would rather have aluminum than cast zinc if given a choice but i rarely get a choice on anything so don't even know why i brought it up.

I think the zinc cast was more cost effective and quicker to mass produce than the more durable option of cnc out of a block of aluminum. Alot of cuts on that thing our price would be rediculous be like buying a piece art instead of a mod.
It is a cool idea for a mod------it reminds me of a Video Arcade joystick but still very cool...
I'm sure they had their reason to go with Zinc.

Fugly very fugly to me so no chance of a purchase guess I'll still be getting my sx mini in future, I look after my mods so not overly concerned on materials but that just doesn't appeal one bit ymmv.

In a totally bad way. And an authentic DNA40 chip is only $50-60, and that's at the consumer level... so that price is pretty absurd.

Looks just like it was ripped out of the movie "Prometheus", I think thats the correct movie. Ya know the prequel to the Alien series!
to be honest it looks like a pretend plastic 'ray-gun' you might give a kid for xmas...$249??? Not for me!
