tl;dr
DFWvapor.com Carrot Cake is a spicy confectionery treat. Rating 4/5.
Background
Last time I ordered from DFWvapor.com there was a problem with my shipment. That problem was eventually resolved. This time, everything was right from beginning to end. I placed an order for 3 juices, four needle-tipped filling bottles and a stainless steel Ming-style Jeannie Drip Tip (which I heartily endorse, by the way). Everything arrived exactly as I ordered this time, completely drama-free.
The juice
This is pretty damn close to real carrot cake. It could use a little more icing flavor. I like the edge pieces of carrot cake with lots of cream cheese frosting. But still, there's a hint of frosting there. And if I'm whining that I didn't get an edge piece, you can infer that this juice is pretty close and will satisfy your craving for a slab of carrot cake.
It's got a strong, spicy cinnamon taste -- not that sticky red candy cinnamon crap, not burn your mouth spicy, but actual honest-to-God savory ground up woody cinnamon flavor. It's a dry, complex taste of ground cinnamon, maybe a little clove, bread, a little brown sugar, and a hint of cream cheese icing.
I'm using a ProVari, dripping on a 1.7 ohm io6 at 4.7 volts. Vapor production is plentiful. I'm guessing this is around 30% VG. My juice was born in February, and thus has had plenty of time to steep. If yours is fresh mixed for your order, you'll probably need to give it a month to mature fully (as creamish flavors usually need).
The verdict
It definitely closely resembles carrot cake. If you like a clove sort of flavor, you'll probably thoroughly enjoy this. I go for bakery type sweet flavors, so it's not quite sweet enough for me to use as an all-day vape. I don't love it, but I like it more than a little, and I can certainly appreciate its complexity. It's definitely worth a try, because you might love it.
