I thought you all would be interested in the following email response from VP of Cuttwood:
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding the concern you have with our flavors.
The reports issued by Enthalpy Analytical (which Vapor Shark recently posted on its website) indicate that two of Cuttwood’s flavors, Unicorn Milk and Monster Melons, contain NO detectable amounts of Diacetyl and, in the case of Monster Melons, NO detectable amount of Acetyl Propionyl.
While the Enthalpy Analytical reports indicate that two of Cuttwood’s flavors (Sugar Bear and Boss Reserve) contain measurable amounts of the Diacetyl, Enthalpy Analytical has advised Cuttwood that the Diacetyl concentration levels it reported for these two flavors are estimates
Please be advised, Of the approximately 66 products in which Enthalpy Analytical detected the presence of Diacetyl, Sugar Bear and Boss Reserve reportedly have the second and fourth lowest concentration levels of Diacetyl, respectively. In addition of the 42 companies whose products were tested by Enthalpy Analytical, 39 have at least one flavor which tested positive for AP.
Lastly, Innovation is part of the Cuttwood tradition. In keeping with this tradition, Cuttwood is committed to improving its products by exploring new ways to reduce and/or eliminate the levels of Diacetyl in its products without sacrificing the rich, full-bodied flavors which continue to draw customers to Cuttwood.
I hope this information finds you well, and this answers all your questions.
Thank you,
Cody Huttlinger
