Since FSUSA doesn't tell you what has it in there you basically just have to see if you taste any of the following
Apple pie
Beer
Butter
Buterscotch
Beef boiled
Bell pepper
Chestnut
Champagne
Coconut
Croissant
Cheese Erdammer
Cheese Emmenthal
Cheese Parmigiano
Coffee
Caramel and butterscotch
Corn
Cream
Egg yolk
Fried
Golden syrup
Hazelnut
Maple
Milk condensed
Malt
Melon
Nut wild mix
Olive
Potato
Pistacchio
Rum
Soy sauce
Salmon
Truffle black
Tiramisu
Vanlla Madagascar
Vanilla Tahiti
Yogurt

To the best of my knowledge they have never named any flavor as containing diacetyl, even though as a flavorart using company they obviously do have juices with diacetyl, even going so far as to say RY4 is diacetyl free...but how you make RY4 without caramel is beyond me.

Well! That was a really helpful answer to a very specific question. I'll keep your post in mind, just in case any of my tobacco flavored juices taste like Boiled Beef, Soy Sauce, Potato, Corn, Cheese Parmigiano, Salmon, Olive, or Egg Yolk. And, in case you missed it, two posts above yours, the OP states that Dave (from FSUSA) answered his question and told him that there was "NO DIACETYL in those flavors", so his specific question was already answered before you posted yours.

Hm... if you guys say David doesn't mind answering emails, I'm going to give it a shot. I hate to even bring it up since this is turning into such a controversy. I'm just curious about the 4 flavors I ordered. I just started vaping yesterday, and if I can stay ahead of the game and maybe avoid diacetyl from the start, I might as well. I hope it doesn't annoy him to get an email asking about my order.

The easiest way to get a hold of David is to use the 800 # that is on the home page of FSUSA's web site. And, he doesn't seem to mind answering emails.

He should be fine with it. Plus it's a good idea so that you have it to refer to later should the question arise again.

Good info guys.

Would really like full disclosure officially though..like on their website or something. I really like the people at FSUSA and their products, and this would be the only thing keeping me from ordering more.

Diacetyl-induced bronchiolitis obliterans isn't much fun. I know if it's only tiny tiny trace amounts it might not be worth worrying about, but I've seen lots of people die from respiratory problems and it's very sad to see...probably the hardest way of dying to watch and I've seen people bleed out, succumb to cancer, die from brain trauma etc. You don't appreciate being able to breath properly until you see that...

No problem,
I believe in as much information as opposed to a lack of information. As far as FSUSA's official answer, I believe they are still holding to RY4 being diacetyl free...without explaining how a flavor that "delicious caramel kick!" manages to not use caramel.

Banjo I know you hate the drama around FSUSA but you have to admit it is better to have this information available than it is to be kept in the dark...look at all the people who have ordered this juice without being aware of the contents in it and now have to second guess the purchase. While I agree it is unlikely that boiled beef would be in a tobacco flavor it is not unlikely you will find caramel, rum,and many of the nut flavors I listed. In fact I like nutty tobacco's. As I said I threw out a bottle of coconut so I know the feeling, and it is not a pleasant one, when you find out your juice collection may contain a substance of dubious quality.

So, diacetyl is only present if we taste BOTH caramel and butterscotch at the same time? Or just "buterscotch" by itself without the caramel?

They both have it, they are combined on the list because they both have it in the same quantity. The ppm count varies with Butter being the highest and beef boiled being the lowest.
