I ordered an auto DAV back on 5-31-14 and couldn't get it working proberly so I filed a ticket and received a replacement on 6-20-14. I have the same problem with the replacement. Here is the problem:

I fully charged the batteries on receipt and seem to be sucking more air than vapor regardless of the voltage setting, or any where between the settings. The first puff results in some vapor, but subsequent puffs results in hardly any. If I puff two quick puffs as in the old auto's I get virtually nothing.

I have used several different tanks and several different juices all with the same result. For example I can take a tank, attach a DAV manual, a Zeus or a Diamond XL and get excellent vapor. When I attach the DAV auto on that same tank I get little vapor.

I noticed there is a pin hole at the bottom of the auto DAV right above the 4.2V setting. Don't know if this is the way they are manufactured or a defect.

Any help would be appreciated since the DAV is totally unsatisfactory at this point.

Im not familiar with the units you mentioned. Just a guess could it be that your other units are single coil and the DAV is a double? When I fired my first double coil I got nothing as well. Seems that unless you have a powerful mod it takes them a bit to preheat. Try just applying some power for a couple seconds then hitting it and see how that works. LIke I said Im not familiar with what you have it just sounds like the same problem Ive had in the past.

    Thanks jstjoehere and K9Luvr for your replies. I have tried the auto DAV on the DC 1.5 and 2.0 and the SC 2.0. I also tried raising the post but still nothing works. I have not tried using it with a smileo since I don't have any. Think I will have to send both back and order the manual or perhaps another Zeus.

    Well let us know how it works out. I haven't ordered any DAV's in quite awhile, so it's possible the batch you got is defective somehow.

    Also that pin hole is actually a safety vent hole and manufactured that way.

    Finally back in town for awhile. Yes Audrey customer service took good care of me. It is seldom I call on them but they are always very helpful. Thank you Audrey for following up.
