Only if its unregulated 5V, it wont work with regulated 5V

Thanks for answering that...can I ask why it doesnt work on regulated...sorry I am not very up with the differences with these kinds of things...i am a fill, put carto on and vape kinda of vaporererer :vapor:

do you have a suggestion for 5v regulated? when i used the 5v before it was nice but my flavors always tasted burnt and i was using cartos that were HV.

Yes, for example I have Provari, it can go as high as 6V, but on DC it won go higher then 4.2.
the regular "thinks" that its only 1.5Ohm (even if its x2 3.2Ohm) and it trips the amp limiting protection.

If you have a 5V pass-trough or regular 6V boxmod, they should work fine.
there is no unregulated 5V device its not possible with batteries (they come in 3.7V or 3V)

Only Saber touch variable voltage will fire these at 5V, they have a special regulator (costs extra), never used one myself but know from watching YouTube reviews the guys name was Smokie

P.S. Almost any mod that uses batteries and allows stacking them in pairs is usually unregulated.

I'm assuming it's like most of the other dual (or even triple) coils running around out there, so most likely a dumb vari-volt mod (like a generic box mod) would also work, I've got one that does fine pushing the multi coils to 5 and even 6 v

Oh yes it will, but the issue with non controlled devices is that they volt drop on load.
so if you push 5V it wont be 5V, more like 4.3 ish.

well its not really the regulation thats the problem but the ability of the regulator to work with such a small ohm load. if you have a fancy mod then like virusz said it could trip the protection. Not because its regulated but because the dualie is pulling too hard and the mod thinks it is a short. you could solve this problem i think by using a higher ohm dual coil. I have seen some in the wild somewhere that were 2 ohm but didn't see who makes them.

i had one with a coil burned out and i put it on 7.4v (2x 14500 unregulated) and it didnt quit and plenty of vapor but with only one of the coils it tasted burnt really quick
