Hi Amy--glad you are enjoying them. We haven't tried cleaning them yet. Fillereds can be a bit more involved but I suppose you can flush them and let them thoroughly air dry. This would be the most direct approach. I would imagine disassembling them might be like putting a chinese puzzle back together again as you have to rewind the filler and get the tube back over it again.

Hey Danno & Amy;

Danno you're right about taking them apart. Tried it on a single coil and it's not realistic. I did buy an ultrasonic cleaner for $25, boiled some water, and gave several typical cartos a good bath. Set them out to air dry for a week. Checked them and they all seem to draw (dry) well. They had been REALLY gunked up/plugged up with juice beforehand. Need to load one up and give it a vape. If it's serviceable, great, if not, I'm only out some boiling water (I wanted a sonic cleaner for other chores).

Yes I was going to say that many seem to be doing well with the Ultrasonics - the key is to be patient and let them fully air dry...

If you are adventurous by all means. One time I used my toaster oven and left them in there too long, melted the plastic on the covers, etc...ruined about 150.00 worth of attys, etc..

:facepalm:

I use a food dehydrator that has the top fan in it. I set it on the mid to mid/high temp and run it all night. They are dry by morning and haven't melted anything yet. If you have one, give it a try...works like a charm.

i dont have one....how much do they cost? average ballpark

I pull my tube off, unroll the filler run under hot water and pat dry with a paper towel, then run the inner blanket under hot water and even the coil, pat dry with the paper towel then re-roll it all back up and put back together, hit it lightly with the hair dryer and let it sit till the following day. The dually is like new ready to go by the next morning.

Nesco is a good company. I've had mine for a few years and it's a 4-tray. We do lots of fruits with it.

Now I have to go to the store tomorrow and get bananas and apples...LOL. I made a fruit roll-up once that was damn good. I forgot to write down what all I mixed together and haven't been able to duplicate it yet.

Just got done baking some cartos this afternoon. My toaster oven has a "warm" feature but I thought it was still too hot, so I just left the door open and sat them in there a couple hours. They were a little warm to the touch, but it looks like they dried out nicely. Also with summer coming, depending on where you live, maybe stick them on the dashboard of your car while parked outside for a little bit :)
