Did I make a mistake?

So I've been reading a lot about the e-cigarettes for the past week and have been trying to get away from smoking using the patch several times but it has never worked. I enjoy smoking to much to let it go. I just enjoy the action of smoking too much. And just began to deal with it.

But, a month ago in the middle of a New Hampshire mall I saw my first E-cigarette. Smoking everywhere had a kisok there and was selling them for 149.99. And I became interested right away. A Healthy Cigarette?!! No way! Needless to say, I almost just jumped in a purchased a Smoking Everywhere E-cig, but I forced myself not to.. I wanted to do some research first. So I did, and found out that Smoking Everywhere were highpriced junk.

 But now I am wondering if I made a mistake with my recent purchase. I just purchased not one, but two e-cigarettes and am now wondering if I am going overboard, or even if I purchased 'good ones?' I purchased the njoy Ncig and The njoy Npro. The reason I purchased the two were to have the Ncig at home and the Npro when I am out to look like a normal cig from afar. Also I primarly purchased the two because if I want to get away from real cigs its good to always know that you have a another incase something were to break. I would hate to be stuck with a broken e-cig for a week and find myself running to the nearest store for a pack of newports.

But now I am wondering if I am a good choice on the product that I choice and even if I may have went overboard with my purchase. Was it necessary to purchase two. I mean I know the ncig cartridges last longer so when I am home I will probably be using that instead and they are supposed to be cheaper than the npro cartridges. What do you guys think? Too much to invest? Should I have only purchased one? Was there a need for a back up incase of an issue with the other? Just looking for feedback good or bad doesnt matter just wondering.

Thanks in advance guys! I am new to the forums, and really enjoy it. I've learned a lot on here already.

:thumb: Thank you Guys In Advance. :thumb:

I am new to this myself. Today is my second day with my njoy NPRO. The carts certainly dont last very long on the NPRO (2 carts a day). I found that out in a hurry and ordered 45ml of juice to refill them with. I will just carry 2 fresh carts with me either that or a small eye dropper and top them off when needed. Shouldnt be a big deal.

I am also thinking about picking up the classic ncig style for use at home. So IMO what you did was perfect except for a couple small things. You could have gotten the same exact products (different name but same product) from puresmoker.com for less money and as I have learned very quickly you will want to get yourself some juice to refill your own carts with. Also may not be a bad idea to get a spare atomizer for both e-cigs.

Hiya! Always good to see another joiner.

From my vast experience (six weeks) of vaping and membership here (a bit longer plus some lurking first) I think I can say without too much dread of contradiction that you have NOT made a mistake by buying two e-cigs to start with. You might have been a bit unlucky in paying a bit over the odds but I hope it wasn't too much so put it down to part of the learning curve.

Essentially every part of the e-cig has to be regarded as a consumable, atomisers and batteries last for varying lengths of time which may be due to how much you use them, using the cartridges too dry (moist is best, ask anyone here - if you've got liquid it's easy to top up before vapour starts getting too low) or just plain luck.

If you have a look around the forum there is heaps of advice, tips and recommendations from folk who've tried things out as to how to look after/maintain your atomisers. If you hadn't bought two I'd be recommending you arm yourself with at least one spare atomiser and probably a battery or two depending on how heavily you use them. A dead atomiser means dead e-cig so a fall-back is good to have.

Ongoing, depends if your goal is to use the e-cig to stop not only smoking but reduce or even cut out nicotine altogether. I've cut out the tobacco really easily since getting mine but never intended to give up my nicotine so they are perfect for me. Some members here have reduced their nicotine intake as well by using lower and lower strengths all the way down to zero but continue vaping because they enjoy it. Choice is yours.

As far as the money goes, how much have you saved already by buying fewer cigarettes? I was down from 30/day to one pack lasting a WEEK in a month of using mine. ProStreet's advice is good - get yourself some juice to avoid having to buy cartridges all the time and save even more. :thumb: More choice of flavours too.

Warning: If you get into this the way many of us have, you start yearning to try out the next new model, one you haven't already got that is being recommended in reviews, also want to try every flavour of e-juice under the sun... need I go on? You can spend plenty if you want to but you don't HAVE to! ;)

Carry on wandering around the forum and you can pick up so much useful info you wouldn't believe it and ask for advice if you can't find what you're looking for.

Have a really good New Year and get off that tobacco if you can - it's no good for you (OK, you already knew that!!) :D
