I recently ordered an Ego from rocky mountain vapor, and received it in the mail today. I was looking for marks on it that most Ego's have. Such as at the top and such. Well I did not notice any of these markings on it. So I did a Google search and noticed people were selling fake Ego's on the internet. I was wondering if maybe I received one of these fakes they were talking about. Mine came with 2 bats, 2 attys, a usb charger, and wall charger.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated as this is my first e-cig experience.

Yes the little black bag is what I was talking about, I just called it a case. It's advertised with an eGo logo on it. The one i received does not have it. I have been searching and there is a warning from janty and joye about fake eGo's saying that are unsafe. And I just want to make sure I received the real deal that I payed for, and it's safe to use.

The Joye eGo is unbranded. It is just like Caddyman posted. BUT there are some eGo's that look just the same and are not Joye.

The OEM Joye eGo box says "eGo" and so does the users manual. The bag is purposely unbranded sometimes.

The link posted looks like a true Joye eGo...but i have found a major manufacturer that shows that exact same picture and it is not Joye. It's Sailebao...and it is VERY good and less expensive.

I bought 3 Joye eGo sets. One from Janty, one from PS and one from Good Prophets. None of those sets shipped with the European plug that I'm seeing in the picture. (RMV's site)

Shoot Myshkin a PM or contact them through their site. They are straight shooters, no worries about a scam from RMV. There is always a chance that they (RMV or any other reputable supplier) may have been duped with a fake though.

A quick check would be to test for atty resistance. Joye's are in the 2.2 ohm range, SLB's are always higher.

The way it works is, Joyetech allows retailers to brand their own logos on the items. My eGo only has the NicotineNirvana logo, which is where I bought my eGo. Halonut, the ECF member who owns NicotineNirvana, has represented over and over that he sells only genuine Joyetech products, and based on the quality, I believe him.

Your vendor probably never designated a logo for Joyetech, so it simply has no logo. Maybe you can imprint your name there, instead of a logo :p

Guys the bag isn't the important part, it's the plastic insert that the parts are in. TWO full length cutouts is, according to Janty, not made by them in any way shape or form.

There are quite a few suppliers selling these kits. They don't want us to know the truth, just look in the thread posted in the general forum and linked at the top of this page.

I'm sure some of those selling these thought they were getting "genuine" equipment from whoever they dealt with, but I highly doubt they're all that naive.

Well, heck!.. It's not like Joyetech is Rolex. My eGo kit is working great, and that's all I care about!
