Well, heck!.. It's not like joyetech is Rolex. My eGo kit is working great, and that's all I care about!

This is about false advertising. Some of these suppliers really like to play up that they sell "AUTHENTIC JOYE TECHNOLOGIES" equipment, and if it's not really true then I have a big problem with that.

Then on top of it, we get responses from suppliers to this issue trying to blow smoke in our faces. Seriously take a look at that thread in the General Forum on this linked on the last page! Someone posted the picture from JantyUSA's press release about the fake kit, and you've got a supplier there trying to make nothing of it claiming it's "probably the same thing".

How cheap are these knockoff eGo kits and how much are we getting ripped off? That's the real question.

Guys the bag isn't the important part, it's the plastic insert that the parts are in. TWO full length cutouts is, according to Janty, not made by them in any way shape or form.

There are quite a few suppliers selling these kits. They don't want us to know the truth, just look in the thread posted in the general forum and linked at the top of this page.

I'm sure some of those selling these thought they were getting "genuine" equipment from whoever they dealt with, but I highly doubt they're all that naive.
if you go to the joye site linked on page 2 and go to ego and then click on the kit picture then you'll notice farther down the page is a dual kit that looks exactly like what you're talking about. it's only the single kits that have one long and one short slot. Myshkin has always been a stand up guy and i don't believe he would sell knockoffs without saying anything

They were on sale for less then that and free shipping. Regardless, what the OP got is a Joye product. Joye themselves even show their double eGo packaging on their website as I linked above. I know Myshkin deals with Joye directly. Notice all his products are Joye and he is genuine.

From the clone they list on their site, it is hard to tell the difference IMO. I can tell that the wall charger is missing in the photo at least, the cartridges say TOB instead of MLB*HIG and the color of the clone is horrendous. Is that supposed to be platinum?

Well that makes me feel better seeing the double kit on joyes website. Thank you for the research. Like I said earlier this is my very first e-cig experience and I just wanted to make sure I was getting the product I ordered.

Karmah, just enjoy it. I did the research because I am a regular @RMV, and I also bought two of his kits. In fact I waited until he got them before buying. It is a great kit. Hopefully you also got some juice to refill your cartridges.:vapor:

Actually I have not put a cart in it yet. I've been direct dripping and I like it alot. So far It's been roughly 6 hours and I have not had a regular cigarette. That's a big feat for me because usually I smoke 2 and a half packs a day.

Or you could just be distracted, lol. I was so busy fiddling around and vaping with my new toy the first few days I was beginning to think I have a mild case of undiagnosed autism(as my wife has alluded to a few times) .

Seriously though, lots of folks(like me) quit straight away. some take a few weeks, some a few months or more. A few I've read even need additional products like snus long term. Whatever works. For me vaping satisfied all of my needs right off the bat. The only problem I had the first few weeks were my usual smoking cues, like "oh, I always have a cigarette before I do this, or after I do that". I didn't really "need" one, but some part of my brain was still kind of confused as to why. After about 4 weeks I wasn't having them any more. That is, not until about a week or two ago when I got into a big fight with my wife(always another cue for me to smoke). In all of those cases I just vaped instead of smoking and soon forgot about it. The half pack of analogs I had laying around were stale by then anyway.
