Ok so I had an ego, and upgraded to a joytech evic-vt. Here it is: http://www.joyetech.com/product/evic-vt/
I absolutely love it, but on a bunch of the vaping online stores I see stuff for Kanger and other companies, but not much for joytech. If I got other tanks, like from Kanger, would it work on the battery part of my evic-vt??? Also where do I get coils for a decent price? I'd like to have a few tanks so that I can have different flavors to just switch out on one base... Does that make sense?

I don't like Joyetech or recommend their products.

However, millions of people think they are the top "mass brand" of e-cig, so I can't see you have messed up.

I can't speak for the rest of the world, but running costs of Joyetech atomizers are a bit too expensive for me, and their reliability isn't the best. Again, many will disagree.

Nearly all tanks will work on the VT, sure. If you use the temp control, things could get interesting if you mix and match.

Good luck. :)

You have one of the top systems out. You spared no expense that's for sure. You can run any tank on that as you may want to get a non sub ohms tank so you don't burn through juice so fast. You have a cloud chucker that's for sure! CHEERS!
so I just need to look for non sub ohms tanks? do the tanks come with the coil part? Sorry I know I sound dumb but I'm trying to learn.

If it's keeping you off the cigs, it's a good device. Doesn't matter what brand it is. I would always suggest having a back up though in case your mod breaks. You can put any tank on that one as long as it meets the wattage and resistance limits. A Nautilus is a good non-subohm, MTL tank with pre-made coils. Lots of folks like the Kanger Subtanks and there are lots of options for them. There are thousands of different tanks out there and 90% of them will work on that mod. We can suggest tanks all day long and you will hear a different opinion on what's best from everyone. Try a few tanks and see what you like. When you find one you think looks good go to www.vapecrawler.com and look it up. It will find you the best deals and coupon codes.

Thank you! Fellow Texan Here! I don't have a lot of money to spend, so I'm trying to find the best deal. I found another joytech ego one mega vt tank for under $20 so I think I'll get another one of those, and then look for another backup unit. Right now I just have a silly pen style that has a hard draw that I started out with. I'm committed to quitting, and love vaping! I like trying different flavors of e-juice so I'd like to have more than one tank.

I use a Sub Tank Mini on my eVic VTC Mini, same device just smaller with a removable battery. The Sub Tank Mini's are very versatile, you can use the .5Ω coils for sub-ohming, or the 1.5Ω coils for MTL vaping. Then there is the RBA (rebuildable) section, which is what I use, something you may get into later down the road. Good tank that works nicely on the eVic VT or VTC.

Most tanks (non-rebuildables) do come with at least one coil; that type of tank, you can buy replacement coils. There are quite a few different ones, but i don't use those, so i can't make any recommendations.

I had an Evic-VT at one point, and put an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer) on it. Anything that's got a 510 connector can go on it. for those rare (older) tanks that only have an Ego connector, you can get an adapter for that.

before I got my ipv4s, my husband and I got a evic vt. as a spare. mine lasted 1 month hubby's lasted 2. both quit fireing in the exact same way. like the 510 wouldn't connect correctly. I tried SEVERAL of my rebuildables and it simply quit working. same with my husbands. I'd cancel your order if you can because these units do NOT LAST.

You can get a Kanger Subtank Mini and buy the nickle coils to run on temp control. You can also buy/use the Kanthal wired factory .5 and 1.5 OCC vertical coils to run in regular wattage mode. The Subtank Mini comes with one of each. It also has a build deck if you decide to make your own coils (which saves money in the long run).

I have a few of these and I just swap out tanks to change flavors. Also it helps as all the coils will fit the other tanks. "Everybody" sells these so getting parts (coils etc) is never a problem.

Stay away from Nickel wire in coils.

Nickel is dangerous in power mode. Some evic's have or had an issue of going out of Temperature Control into power mode.

In power mode it is a great mod.

This mod was one of the earliest to offer Temperature control.

I remember one reviewer saying it flips out of TC to power mode when the ohms level is super low

I bought my e-vic about a month ago, I love it. Only thing I didn't love, was the tank. my juices never tasted right in the tank it came with, and the coil burnt out really quickly. I got rid of the default tank it came with and got an arctic tank for it, and ever since I've loved it and its produced great flavors and clouds. I still use my istick 50 watt with a kanger tank mini every now and then, but the evic is definitely my favorite now.

I have the evic vt switched out the ego one tank I purchased with it to an aspire triton tank. I would assume it can run many tanks as long as it is a 510 thread not sure if they have adapters. I would assume battery plays a huge role as well but I don't see why not most people that drip use RDA's not sure if they have special tanks for mech mods. coil wise idk I just go to my local vape shop and show him my set up and ask for coils they are fairly cheap like $1 a piece. tanks you can practically get them anywhere I got mine at my local vape shop but online has more

Would be lost without this. I use in power mode and with an old school subtanks...the tighter air holes are better for flavor....this is a fantastic setup

What do you mean by "old school subtanks"? That Subtank has tighter air holes compared to Subtank Plus/V2? Is it tight enough for MTL? Does it mean that V2/Plus is too airy even on the smallest AFC setting? Or are you talking about STMs? Or subtanks in general? Sorry for so many questions, but with so many different versions I got lost...

Thanks, but I've had it for 3 weeks, and so far it's working great... has a warranty, so if I have to use it I will.
