I have never vapoured before apart from a time I was at a friends house. So I know nothing about how it works, atomisers etc all seem alien to me. However I was told the Riva was a good E cigarette for a newbie like me.
There seems to be 2 different types which one would people here advise? What is the difference as I can not seem to find it?
Lastly is this a brand people here would suggest to a complete newbie? My friend had greensmokes and told me they were better because of 2 part system? But someone else told me they were a complete rip off? So am I getting the right brand? And if so which of the 2 is better?
Thanks in advance

Yes, you're looking at a great pv. Riva is a great brand. The difference between a 510 and a 901 is the threading on the atomizer. Some people like 510 atomizers, some like 901s. There are more things that will be interchangeable if you get the 510. The 510 threading is about the most popular out right now. I personally would recommend getting the 510. There are some small differences in all the atomizers, but not enough to be a deal breaker. I'd get the 510 just because it's so versatile. There are sooo many other things you can get to fit it: cartomizers, mega atomizers, mega cartomizers, the eGo tankomizer and tanks......they will all fit on the 510 Riva. Good luck. Oh, and FORGET about greensmokes......totally.

My personal opinion about Green Smokes is that they suck. They're extremely overpriced crap. That was my first e-cig and it lasted about a week before I ordered a Riva 510 kit. The only difference between the 510 and the 901 is the threading. Which one you get is all a matter of which one you like best. Some people like the 510 better, some like the 901.

The two-part system vs. the three-part system again is all a matter of what you'll like best. I use atomizers (part of the three part system) for dripping, and cartomizers (part of the two part system) for when I'm away from home and can't drip. Personally, I prefer cartos over the atomizer/cartridge because it's just easier and more convenient for me.

If you want a 2-piece system look at Vapor4Life.com or its generic model KR808D-1 (see LiteCigUSA.net. VaporLeaf.com and elsewhere). You do not want Greensmoke - Greensmoke is KR808D-2, almost identical but has different threads so you can't use any of the NORMAL price KR808D-1 stuff without adapter. That's how "name" brands want it - they want to lock you into them for supplies. A clue - if a brand does not sell blank carts/cartos or charges more than $20 for a battery, then they are not brand to get locked into.

For a Riva, I recommend the 510 just because there is a lot more available for 510 including 510 to 901 adapter if you want to try 901 attys. 510 has the most variety of blank cartomizers, has the tanks (needs a different atty), has lots of atomizers available in normal and low resistance, and 510 stuff is sold by almost every multi-brand vendor.

'Everyone' gets the 510 because it is popular and so many other companies make things that will fit the threading,
Get the 510 and you will be happy.
I bought the 901 because it is compatible with the 808, the battery was stronger, it seems to vape more and I get more flavor,
Adapters would make either choice work for you.
Personally, I like 901 atty';s and 808 cartomizers and with the 901 I have more control over air flow by adjusting the collar due to the design of the 901 atty,

It all sounds really techinical to me dripping, atomisers etc no idea what any of these things are. Hopefully there is an instruction manual when I order mine.
From the looks of things more people get the Riva 510 so I will get that.
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510
This is the place I found to buy them, not sure what the difference is between special edition and lite bundle apart from the price so I will probably buy the lite one. Thanks guys for all your help.

Katey, the main difference between special edition and lite bundle is that the special edition also includes a mains charger for your batteries.

At the moment LF UK are out of stock of SE & lite bundle 510's apart from the pink in the lite bundle. If you do order from them, use the discount code ECR69 for 15% off :)

Since colour doesnt matter to me and I am a girlie girl I will go for the pink. I wouldnt usually. I am safe to assume the colour doesnt affect the experince.
WomanOfHeart thanks will check out those videos x

Oh and I forgot to ask is the battery a manual one? Just watched one of those videos and I much prefer the idea of a manual one?

I see you are from London. You might save some shipping cost and headache if you order from a local supplier. I just got a Riva kit from LF and I think it is good value for money. Don't forget to order juice. I am not too happy about the cartridge fillings though.

I also have an Evo (401) from Intellicig but those cartridges are just too tiny imho.
