Cartos look like lipstick tubes but can be made of plastic or metal. Clearos look like lots of things--EVODs, CE2, 3, 4, 5, Vivi Novas, T2, 3, 4, Protanks, Davides, iClear 16 & 30, etc. Cartos have a filler material packed around the heating core. Clearos have wicks like candles. You can see your liquid level in most clearos but not in cartos unless it is a carto tank--a tank like a clearo but without the wick--the carto has holes punched in it and goes in the tank to wick up the liquid--clear as mud?

Google EVOD and Boge. EVOD is type/style of clearo and Boge is a type of carto.

I own cartos that are transparent check out the smok tech shorty carto, awesome for a stealth pv BTW

PV? I didn't understand a word coming out of your mouth? You sound like a dog with Peanut Butter on the roof of your mouth.

Sorry for the Talladega Nights reference... What does PV stand for? Also BCC. I'm guessing BCC is bottom coil but don't know what the other C is.

Here are some links (these are links to Halo for examples only - these both use 808 threads and will not fit common 510 and ego batteries)

Cartomizer
Authentic Tan | E-Cigarette Blank Cartomizers | Halo Cigs

Clearomizer
Crystal Clear | G6 Mini Tanks | Halo Cigs

cartomizers look similar to a cigarette "filter" and are made of metal, have a filler material that absorbs the e-liquid and has a small coil in the center of a small tube that vaporizes the e-liquid and take some time to refill and need to be replaced after being refilled about 7-10 times (or less if allowed to get low enough to "dry" burn) unable to see level of fluid in it

Clearomizers are normally any type that is easily refilled from top or bottom, are normally translucent so you can see fluid level, most are rebuildable ie: you can replace just the atomizer (the part with the coil that heats the fluid and creates the vapor) are much easier to deal with and are much more cost effective

examples of clearo names - ce4, stardust, mini protank, mini vivi nova

protanks, vivi nova's etc are basically just large clear's

hope this helps
