Thinking about trying out an eGo for a longer battery life. As far as atomizer/battery goes, it pumps out the exact same voltage as a standard 510, right?

I keep seeing Type A and Type B tanks and not sure what the difference is. I drip pretty much 100% of the time, so also curious about flavor difference between a tank and dripping. Isn't using a tank pretty much the same as dripping since no filler is involved?

Not even sure yet whether I should upgrade my 510 since I'm very happy with it.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but the type B atomizer is not a tank at all. It is essentially an oversized 801 atomizer. There are also Type-B cartomizers. Either one holds about 2ml of liquid. They have a filler material.

The eGo-T is the tank atomizer, that much I know. Holds about 1.8ml of liquid, and no filler material. There have been mixed reviews on this atty, and I have used them personally. I would say my review is also mixed lol. When they work well, they are champs. When they don't work as well, they are dogs. The most common complaints are that they mute the flavors and are finicky with having to adjust the wick just right... Just my experience.

I would say that if you are happy with your 510 then stick with it. Bottom line is whatever works for you. There are also 510 tanks out there that may be worth considering. I haven't used them myself though so I can't vouch for them. If you are looking for better battery life, then I would say a big battery eGo (900mah or 1100mah) or the latest rage, the go-go. If you are looking for a change from constantly filling cartridges for a atomizer system then go cartomizer. If you aren't looking for either and are happy with what you have, then I say go with it :)

There are type A and B ego atomizers that use cartridges. The type A ego atomizer is cone shaped the B ego atomizer is cylindrical.

There are also type A and B ego-T atomizers that use tanks. Again the type A ego-T atomizer is cone shaped the B ego-T atomizer is cylindrical. You can only use type A tanks with a type A atomizer and B with B. The B is newer and holds more liquid.

I'll share my little bit of knowledge with you. The eGo is pretty much just a bigger 510. In use, it puts out about 3.2 volts. 'Type A' and 'Type B' refer to atomizers, not tanks. These are the eGo Mega atomizers. They are larger than the 510 atty and take larger cartridges that hold more juice. Type A is a cone-style; looks a lot like the regular cone that goes over the 510 atty. Type B is a cylinder-style. The cartridges for it are slightly larger than the Type A and hold more juice (I think A=1.5 ml, B=1.8? Don't quote me on that). The tank system is the eGo-T. The eGo-T atty is shaped like a Type A but the design is totally different; it can only be used with the tank. I have not used the eGo-T myself, so I can only tell you what I've read about them. Lots of people say that they don't get much flavor with the eGo-T. And of course, as is true with every little detail of vaping, there are plenty of others who say the opposite and swear by eGo-T. I'm sure you'll get a reply from someone who has some personal experience with them, or a search will probably pull up a number or threads devoted to the subject. Good luck :)

I have a few eGos and they are great once you get a few things down...

1 Dont mess with the tank alot like pulling in and out just to show people...
2 Keep the attys wet with a tank and juice always on it.
3 Use LowRes attys, they rule for the eGo T.
4 get the rubber bottom tanks from like hitliquid. Helps stop leaking.
5 Use a syringe to fill the tanks so your taking off the bottom everytime. Helps prevent leaking from wear.

after checking out the review and seeing the mention of wick adjustments having to be made, i think i'll stick with dripping. i don't really want to have to fuss much with hardware. i think eventually i'll get a bigger battery so i can try out LR atomizers, though.

personally i would rather adjust a wick once a week for 2 minutes, than have to drip constantaly. Could be just me though.

I felt basically the same way... but being super lazy, I got the MAP tank. With the right juice I have to do a dry burn every 2-3 tanks (5ml tanks, so that's a while) and that's it. Right juice meaning lighter color, I found darker colored juices build up a bunch of crap on the coil and need to be cleaned at least every tank.

You are aware that you can buy an eGo and not get a tank right? Because after reading this, I get the impression you think that a tank is the only reason to buy the eGo. If all you're wanting is longer battery life gobs of people on here can point you to an eGo or Riva that will do that.
