Firestorm covered it... Just to add -- the mini, while it can have the extension put on it, is best served (IMO) in 18350 mode... As the base units are the same price, you pay technically a bit more for a smaller size (and slightly less metal) -- the mini is all about the more compact design, and the full size is for those that require a bigger battery for longer life.

I'm a mod ....., so I carry 2 provari mini's, 2 vmods and extra juice, batteries, and accessories for all wherever I go :D

The difference is the battery charge cycle. You will get a couple more hours vape time with the regular size.

forgive my ignorance if this has been addressed, but whats the difference between a provari mini with the 18490 extension and a regular provari?

Flintlock, did you misread the original question? Both units are using the same 18490 battery. What you just said is confusing.

If you're like me and have big hands, the most comfortable configuration is the standard unit WITH the 18650 extender cap. The standard unit is a bit too small for my hands and the button feels too low for my thumb. With the extention cap it's a perfect fit.... But again, I have giant hands.
I have large hands, too, but I guess I learn to adapt to whatever mod I'm using. All of them have a different fire button placement. I sometimes use my thumb, sometimes use my index finger, sometimes I use my middle finger, just depending upon where the fire button is.

Ok, maybe I should clarify.... Without the extension, my pinky is left flapping in the breeze... The longer config allows me to actually wrap my pinky around the device when using it..... A little more "manly" in my opinion.

Also, I have some nerve damage in my right wrist and sometimes the button causes me to hold the device at just the right position in 18490 mode to aggravate the nerves.....causing pain.

Just doesn't feel right to me to not use my thumb on the button.
