I have a lot of thoughts:

  • Did you rinse the new tfv4 prior to filling it with e-liquid? Some new juice attachments have manufacturing residue on the parts which can taste bad.
  • Did you use the exact same flavor/e-liquid? Really not a fair comparison if you switched.
  • Did you properly "prime" the coil head in both tanks?
  • Did you follow the instructions on how to prime the coils and fill the tank from the included manual, or view a YouTube video for both tanks?
  • Are the coil resistances (0hm rating) of the coils the same in both tanks. Different coil resistances, different coil types, and different wick materials can result in a different flavor.
  • There are probably more things which aren't popping into my head at the moment. But this is a start.
