Different Types of Coil

I'm waiting on my new rda and Mechanical to come in and I want to figure out different types of coils to make (To maximize vapor production and Flavor)

I have heard of the Nano Dragon Coil and the Triceratops Coil, but I want to know your guys opinion on which coil is the best for maximum flavor and vapor production.

If you could Include how to make the coils.

BTW I'm going to be building Sub-Ohm

Get an ohms meter if you don't have one.

This may seem a bit, but trust me, taking an hour out of your life is better than spending time in the ER for a battery malfunctioning and getting battery acid on yourself.

on topic: try a standard micro wrap coil at first w/28 or 30 guage kanthal. You can easily push lower ohms with a regular micro. Nano coils are a bit of a pain from experience and I just really don't like putting "cotton pillows" under the coils. To me it just doesn't give me as good of a vape.

For the best flavor and most vapor production is hands down the super nano dragon coil build, it requires you to wrap a 28 gauge wire 10 times around another 28 gauge wire, yes it will be that small. Then get your cotton and do a dragon style wrap around the coil and your set! I also highly suggest increasing the hole sizing for more airflow with a 7/64 drill bit. Hope this helped, and good luck!!

Haha thats alright... But... The question wasnt to help myself... It was to help the OP since a cotton bedded dual coil is alot easier to work with and your build has higher ohms than mine...


And yes i dont have any problem stepping on some toes in public... But before you judge me for that read up on the average danish mindset and you will realise that im the pleasant kind of dane... Most are straight up a-holes...

Im going to be running a Dual Coil, The RDA is a Patriot Clone. How many Ohms would 10 wraps around a 28 GA wire be?

I was Born and raised on Kaua'i and the mindset from there is alot like the danish from what it sounds like. If you weren't born and raised there you are what we call a Haole, or Without breath. Trust me, we used to do way worse amounts to them than just stepping on toes I can assure you friend. When it comes to treating people badly, I should know cause I was one of the worst out there. But Ive changed all of that and Im done being that kind of person. Started trying out being a nicer individual and it's worked great for me.

Alright I did the Calculations

A 28ga wire is exactly .3mm in diameter, so that would make it have a circumference of 1.47mm
There is 25.4mm in an inch and .44 Ohm in an inch of 28ga wire.
So if I’m right it would take 17.28 wraps to get a .44 ohm coil, which is too little Ohm if I’m going to use a Dual (.22 Ohm with dual)

I might take that general idea, but use a .7mm-1mm pin to do the wrapping.

It's 28g and I don't know the diameter honestly sorry to say. I just grabbed it and decided it was easier than wrapping around 28g wire Lol.

Really was a LOT easier, the little ball on the end gives you support to wrap even coils before pinching on the RDA

Then you should know that in a society where the average joe is emotionless and blunt if you want to grab attention you gotta step on alot of toes, and preferably break a couple on your way

Their female dog'ing and whining for me doing what i do outside in the fresh air shouldnt be allowed... They can literally move 5ft from me and the problem is solved

I don't have to mess with anyones toes to get attention. Different places different ways of doing things, in my opinion doing that will only get your the wrong kind of attention. If you've been doing it all this time maybe your just so used to the wrong kind of attention you just can't even see it. Or no one has had the balls to tell you probably because you step on everyones toes, I have no idea man.

The thing about Kaua'i is, You step on someones or anyones toes for too long we have a saying. Talk .... Get hit, No one takes lightly to getting walked all over, not even the chicks. If you let people walk all over you they will continue to do so, Which then you become a bottom feeder. It's a constant fight you have to pursue but if you don't want people walking over you it's something you have to do.

It goes both ways, If you came to Kaua'i you'd know, and If i came to denmark im sure I would understand as well.

Well im thinking that pin needle is about the same diameter of a Thumb tack (The one with the plastic grip) so it should be around 1.10mm

If you did what I said a dual coil would be .4 ohms

My best setup by far has been this:

Tesla M2 MM (upgraded brass button spring)
Trident Clone RDA
28 kanthal, dual nano coil 1mm (large paperclip is about 1.1mm), 12 wraps, 0.5 ohms
VERY thin cotton wick through and under coils

This has given me wonderful flavor, vapor, and TH. I've found that the wicking setup is as important as the coil setup. This is what works for me, I haven't had any success with the dragon coils or cotton clouds.

As far as building, I would search the forums or check out Youtube. Many different techniques that get you to the same basic end result.
