different vaping hardware, definitely different vaping experience

So I am sitting here at midnight vaping away at Gorilla Juice on two different setups. One is an egoT - the other is a usb passthrough 808 (I think that's right - getting loopy) I rx'd in a V2 starter kit. I have modified the 808 with a 501 deluxe fluxomizor and an adaptor, popped a drip tip on and I GOTTA tell ya - makes for a much more pleasurable vaping experience. I've only been in this for a month, but I think I'm done with cartos forever. Anyone want some blanks?
My vaping path -> cigarettes -> NJoy (over the counter at 7-11; utter crap) -> cigarettes -> BluCig (over the counter at Walgreens; maybe this is possible..., but still too expensive) -> cigarettes while doing my research into e-cigs -> V2 starter kit (impressive, but looking for more satisfaction) -> bad juice (how many people make this mistake? I mean this stuff literally destroyed my palate for a day - all I could taste was smoked apple for 24 hours) -> almost cigs -> EgoT kit (now I am getting somewhere) -> good juice (makes a bigger difference than I thought) -> present day.
The egoT has a lot of inhalation resistance while the draw on the fluxo rig is almost as easy as breathing. The egoT provides my lungs with a bigger punch after I inhale (I don't know why - maybe it's because I'm working harder) whereas the fluxo rig is just smooth as silk and the juice tastes a little better. Right now I don't know what rig I prefer. Both good experiences.
I have completed the transformation from smoker to vapor(er?), but I know it's just a matter of time until I plunge into the dark, forbidden world of box mods and variable voltage...
For anyone who wants to quit smoking, but loves the act of smoking, vaping is the only path.
Thanks ECF for providing a platform for me to build upon my vaping experience. Keep up the good work.

Fairly new to vaping and ECF, but I've tried out enough different hardware that I can definitely agree. I started with a nic free 808 kit (overpriced, one decent battery, 2 cartos, charger pretty lean kit) and moved on to a 510, won a GG Slim, used and eGo VV (knockoff, has bugs but good battery life) and am currently using a Knight Rider (Lavatube to everyone else). I've tried different atties, a few different cartos, one DCT (my hardware isn't made for it, never had a good experience with dual coils) and my favorite, a 3.5 ml clearomizer. I've done a couple of mods to it (check Vaporchase on youtube, Mindfield here), and it works great, hardly any gurgles, great flavour, great vapor. Still finding my perfect vape, but this setup is working pretty well for me right now. Really liking tank vaping, and have my next purchases picked out accordingly.

My path was cigarettes > Smoke NV (aforementioned nic-free 808, Canadian brand, I think) > cigarettes > Joye510 > GG Slim > vaping + occasion cigarettes > eGo VV > Knight Rider/Lavatube.

Having better hardware has really been key to my quitting, personally. I know some people who've quit with V2's though. I was a heavy smoker so it makes sense to want a stronger vape.

Every juice will taste a little different in every piece of hardware, even different brands of cartomizers for the same hardware. The more complicated the flavor, the more I can tell the difference - seems different ones bring different parts of the flavor to the forefront.

I think this is also the reason taste is so 'subjective' with juices. I've tried things I didn't really like, and then tried the same juices later on a different device and loved them. While I think some combinations are better, I don't think there is a 'perfect' combination that is going to make 'all' juices pop.
