Digg and mass email list

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to have an email list setup to inform users of articles that should be dugg. This way, we can have our voices heard by the masses.

What are your thoughts? I see that we have over 5,000 active users. Perhaps a few people would be interested in such a mailing list.

Great idea. I did some digging around and found FreeLists - Free Mailing List Hosting. Free service whose only requirement is that it we use it for technology related subjects and we don't abuse it to send SPAM and whatnot. I believe we just need to come up with a good short name for the list
