I have been buying my electronics components from Newark, but they didn't have a particular part I needed so I made my latest order from DigiKey since shipping costs for ordering from two different places would have eaten up the small savings of Newark in comparison. The order confirmation said to expect delivery around Thursday or Friday this coming week, which is what I would have expected.

I placed the order 2pm Thursday afternoon, paid for Priority (not Express) USPS shipping. It was in my mailbox Saturday, although I didn't pick it up until today. And it was a complicated order, small amounts of a couple of dozen different things.

Maybe it was just this one time, but that impressed me, that they turned around a comparatively small but complicated order in time to get it to my door in TX from MN in two days means it was packed and kicked to the post office by early Friday morning, no more than 18 hours after I placed the order.

I'm going to keep using them for a while, and if they keep this up they'll be my new go-to source for electronics components.

I use for work Digikey, Newark, Mouser, Arrow and others, but Digikey is where I buy most of my components. mouser is my second favorite. I use Newark only if I have to, despite the fact that they have sales agreements with my company.
They are all very reliable, and in many years I only had a few wrong parts placed in my orders (I think in 12 years I must have ordered ~$250k worth of stuff). I found digikey has the best inventory.

If you are looking for rare parts or want to do some comparison shopping, try findchips.com It is a search engine that looks for a part # at all major distributors.
