My Siren 2, 24mm arrived an hour ago and its now up and running. It works ok with Aspire Zelos and istick40wTC mods. Even though they are only 22mm.
I did watch some utube video to clue me in for sure. And used my own flat mini screwdriver and a file to clean off the coil wire once it was fitted (this to prevent shorts)
The quarter turn twist off top fill was a bit of mystery till I watched the video.
Its a good design though and the flavour is very nice.
I dont thinks back in the early days (2010 was it?) I ever got a rebuildable going as good or so quickly with so little fuss.

A problem has developed with filling the tank as the juice spills out of the air holes or where the air holes are if I close them off, then it stops doing it and is ok.
I have tried lenthning the wick so it touches the deck, no difference.
Its a shame because its a well designed tank otherwise.
I am at about 11w.

You need 1 of two things... more wicking material through your coil.. let me explain :

When your putting cotton through the coil it should be snug enough that you can feel resistance when drawing it through the coil, but not so much as to move the coil out of place..

There's a sweet spot in that.

Or 2:

your coils inner diameter (ID) should be as large as comfortably possible, for best results.

I think I make my coils 2.5 mm for that tank, but possibly 3mm..

Try 2.5 mm first should work fine..

It's either both of the above or just one change needed.

Edit:

Also, check your orings.. maybe when you put your tank back together after cleaning you missed one or something. ..

It is a nice tank. I've been using mine for the better part of a year now, and can't say that I've had the same issue as you with the leaking during filling. Like the previous poster suggested, I used 10 wraps of 2.5mm and just make sure my wick is nice and snug without being too tight, and they dangle just above the deck usually.

Make sure the skinny o-ring at the bottom of glass is seated correctly. It's a thin little o-ring about as big around as a bottle cap.
Other than that, it's almost certainly not enough wicking material. The cotton needs to be fairly snug as you pull it though.
I have extensive experience with this tank. It's a GREAT tank once you dial in the build.
Here's Phil explaining some of the ins and outs.

I've not had any problems with leaking either. Checking the orings is a good idea. My Siren 2 came with the orings stuck to the tank glass, and I broke one of them while trying to detach it. I'd therefore recommend checking the rings for damage as well as proper seating. I believe it comes with different colour orings, so you might want to try swapping them out. It's a good idea to lube the rings with VG before installing them.

I usually use a 2.5 mm ID coil for the Siren, although I've tried 2 and 3 as well without problems. As everyone else says, make sure the wick is nice and snug. If it's too loose it can wick too much eliquid which then drips out through the airflow holes.

I've just thought of another issue with the Siren that might be contributing to your problems. When you wick, it's important to make sure your wick has good shoulders. It has to extend out horizontally far enough that it doesn't touch the part of the base with the airholes when it drops. If the wick touches the airhole piece, juice can come up the wick and travel over to the airholes instead of continuing up to the coil. My coils are smaller, so I wet the wick with juice and shape it so it goes straight out the end of the coil for a few mm before it bends down. You can use a pin or a small screwdriver or your coil jig to bend it over.

Good luck!

This is one of my favorite tanks. You are getting good advice. I've gotten them to the point they don't leak, ever, and I have shoved ALL SORTS of diameter and type of coils in there.

The colored O-rings seem to be a bit thicker and you may want to replace yours but they MUST be seated absolutely correctly.

I use rayon, and yes, tight in the coils and a bit of a shoulder and gradually thinning and I don't let my wicks touch the bottom. Coil placement has to be EXACTLY above the airholes, and yes, lift it up a smidge.

Honestly the only time I have ever had an issue with this tank is when the O-rings aren't seated, or deform so really check them. Make sure you are seating your tank directly onto your deck, too. It sounds kind of dumb but this tank can "almost seal" or even "look like it is sealed while being a hair crooked. It's kind of impressive, actually.

I think starting with a 2.5 coil is gonna give you a nice go at really perfecting your wicking because if it NOT the O-rings it's probably either coil placement, wick or both.

Good luck, I love this tank!

That is called being Cross Threaded and it wasnt the problem in this case. It was definitely seeping out the air holes. And guess what it just stopped doing it all by itself. Some bad Magic going on with this tank I thinks.

If your wick is Rayon instead of Cotton (lots of people refer to either as Cotton) you should have the wick tight enough to feel noticeable drag as you pull it through the coil. The coil legs shouldn't bend as you do this. As Hawise said, shoulders on each side of the coil is a sign that you have enough wick in the coil.

If you get weeping from the air holes, hold the tank upside down and blow through the drip tip while holding a paper towel over the air holes. This will discharge excess juice around the coil into the towel and clear the juice that is weeping from the air holes. After doing this you should get a clean vape without leaks or gurgling from the air holes.
