Diluting e-juice to lower nicotine strength

Hey everyone,

I recently received my first serious mod, an eleaf istick 50w / Kangertech Subtank Nano.

I currently have 6 120ml jugs of Steamjuice e-juice at 18mg each, and I'm finding the 18mg nicotine strength to be too much for me with the exponential increase in vapor production compared to what I've been used to for the last year.

So, I'm considering attempting to dilute the juice (without sacrificing flavor) to get the nicotine down to a more manageable level.

My idea is to purchase a 0mg nic sampler pack and mix it with what I have. Since they come exclusively in 0mg nicotine, I'm hoping that'll do the trick. I believe the sample bottles are 15ml each, and the pack comes with 5 bottles.

Does this sound like a reasonable way to decrease the nicotine strength in my e-juice? I simply have too much to throw it out or buy more... Are there any other methods of diluting the juice to get the nic down without sacrificing the flavor?

Thanks in advance for any / all input / assistance.

What mg nic are you wanting to get down to? Are all 6 of your jugs different flavors? You might be able to get some cheaper juice in a complimentary flavor to mix with them. I usually vape fruity type juices, and always keep some apple, or some cream since those will mix well with just about any flavor.

Yes, all different flavors, virtually all bakery / dessert (sans one coffee / caramel cream). I was hoping to get the nic down to 6 - 9 mg, but purchasing another 6 120ml jugs of the same e-juice flavors is just not realistic for me at the moment. If I could get them down to 12mg even, that'd likely suffice.

Thanks for the input, I greatly appreciate it. :)

Actually I did this about an hour ago

If you do the 0 mg juice way, it will be easier

but if you add VG/PG and flavor, needs to steep

So if choose to add flavors stay away from creamies and tobaccos

cause they tend to steep slower than fruits (for faster results).

btw I add 1 drop of eta per 3 ml when I mixing up.

I believe it makes blending quicker

(maybe its wrong I dunno but works good to me)

I ended up getting 18 mg Halo Menthol Ice as my first bottle but missed the estimating part about LIGHT ciggies = around 12 mg not 18.

Plus, while the MI Menthol is very nice Menthol, it was a hair strong.

A shop in town sold me a small bottle of 50/50 0 mg unflavored. I can mix it 2/3 MI to 1/3 0 and not only is the Nic right at 12, where
I want it, but the slightly muted Heavy Menthol is perfect now.

Obviously, the easiest way would be to buy more of what you have and mix it, even if you can only do it in stages. One or two jugs, of a complimentary flavor, or one or two jugs at a time that match the flavors you have and vape those til you can get more. But.....another way that would require a bit more time but be far cheaper is to buy some pg and vg and one or two complimentary flavors and mix it yourself. It's really not hard, there are calculators that will tell you how much to put in of each item to get what you want. Mixing a single flavor juice is really very easy. And super cheap to make 0mg it's the nic that gets a little pricey. Possibly one of an apple for your fruits, and one of a cream to do your bakeries. A good place to get stuff DIY E-Cig Supplies & E-Cigarette Liquid | Make Your Own E-Liquid | RTS Vapes all you really need is pg vg and a couple flavors, and I would suggest a 1 ml syringe and a larger one. You can mix a larger amt of pg and vg in a pyrex measuing cup if you have that, since they don't have to be super precise. Then once your base is made, pull out smaller amts of it and add some flavor to it til you get what you want. that's where the smaller syringes come in. Maybe grab a few bottles if you don't have any that you've saved from juice you bought. Here is the ejuicemeup calculator and there is a huge DIY section that can answer all your questions if you decide to go this route. It's not as scary as it seems to do a simple 1 flavor juice. eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator good luck
