Hi all, I've got a question about diluting NT juices. I've decided to try to go down to 6mg nic. The 12mg that I love is messing with my appetite and I'm not eating very well. I think the 12mg is keeping curbing my hunger. I was thinking about mixing my 12mg juice down to 6mg by cutting with 50% VG. I much prefer the taste of VG over PG by a lot. Have any of you done this? And if so do you feel like cutting the juice ruined your juice? And if so, what juices did you cut? I'm looking at cutting some CB. I know I will loose some flavor but am hoping the vape will still be enjoyable.

Diluting the liquid with unflavored base will significantly reduce the flavor load (cut it in half) - the flavor load would be preserved if you diluted it with flavored liquid... BUT - there's nothing subtle about the way we choose to employ flavoring, so, for the people who enjoy a more nuanced vape, it works. YMMV, I say try it - worst case scenario purchase some NZ to dilute your 12 to 6.

I dilute some of my NT liquid pretty regularly. My problem is I really need MAXVG liquid or my ears start ringing after a day of heavy vaping. I also like a bit of "weight" to my vapor that 50/50 PG/VG just doesn't give me. Fortunately my ADV is Hummingbird (MAXVG), so I'm covered most of the time. So...

Like everyone I need a break from my favorite flavors periodically, even with my Hummingbird. To that end I dilute 12mg Gravity, Romantic Raspberry and Betelgeuse with 12mg or 6mg 100% VG. They are strong enough flavors (for me) that I don't miss a whole ton of the taste (though it does definitely mute it). My atty is a Spheroid which kicks up flavor a bit as opposed to a Kanger tank or what have you, so that helps as well I think. I do a straight 50/50 split of NT juice and the VG and wind up with 25%PG/75%VG at 12 mg or 9mg or 6mg depending on the mix. It spares my ears. Still, I'm always on the lookout for the next MAXVG releases from NT as a dilution just isn't quite the same as the Real McCoy...

I've been doing it in various ratios... It really depends on my mood or how my taste buds are doing... I have one reo with unflavored all the time and when I want to try some flavor I saturate the wick, then keep squonking, till I feel the need to add more flavor. It really makes my taste buds pick up every note of the flavor. In my other reo, I've been doing anywhere from 25%-75% unflavored straight VG, depending on how I'm feeling... (in that reo, its been wakonda/virus)... I sometimes want more flavor or more vapor... Mostly because I've been using an Odin and doing lung hits with the reo's...In my magma, I will run straight flavored, and then I might top it off with some unflavored if I start to notice its too strong, and then I can start to taste it again (with too many flavors too name...GCD right now...)... It's really working out for me, because I seem to get flavor shot pretty quick, and this way allows me to consistently taste em.

I'd suggest you try a 6mg unflavored bottle in the reo, then drip some 12mg on top. OR just mix it in the reo bottle to get a lower nic overall.. Clark's suggestion on getting NZ is probably what you should do as well... I have done that for all my 12 mg's, except BG and Gravity... Which, Im planning on mixing with straight 0mg VG to see where they land... that reminds me... I need to try that out. :)

Also, note, you might need to adjust the coil/wick to compensate for thick VG... squonking takes a helluva lot longer (sometimes 10 seconds if below halfway for my odin with large wells)...I just do micro coils with KGD... but at first, I was using too much wick for the VG... at least I think.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I really like this 12mg ACB as is. I know your supposed to let it steep for two months but it's knocking my socks off now, I just love it. I think I'm going to save this bottle and not dilute it, it's just to good. Yeah, I was re-thinking all of this after posting. :) I will however try the dilution one time going 3ml's with 3ml's of VG, cause now I'm curious. Maybe I'll even through it in the UC for a couple of hours and kill two curiosity birds with one stone lol! And can someone tell me what NZ is?

near zero nicotine, meaning the nicotine is not added intentionally :)

I've been considering this myself. I used to taste the notes in flavors just fine on my single coil clearos, then my taste got spoiled on dual coils, AeroTanks, dripping, etc... Only after I dripped did I really get hit bad with vaper's tongue. If one were to "resensitize" their taste, mixing in unflavored sounds best over the "instant" cures like spicy foods and Zotz.

This is another of our "nods" to full transparency. Given the care that we take, I think we could reasonably assume there is no nicotine in "Near Zero, Nicotine Not Added Intentionally (NZ)" - but - since we don't have a totally separate mixing station for 0mg, we call it NZ because no matter how remote the chance is, there is a chance of cross contamination if there is nicotine on the table. Matter of fact, I am 100% sure that most vendors would be more than comfortable looking at my process and calling it 0mg. I am sure it confuses some people... but we're the "under-promise and over-deliver" kind of people... promises made are promises kept - if they can't be kept, I try not to make them.

Moderation is key.

Thanks for the clarification Kent and mixing the flavored NZ is a great idea. I didn't get what that meant at first but now that I do know it seems like a pretty obvious solution lol!
