Diminished taste... too much of a good thing?

The same thing has been happening to me with the taste disappearing, or starting to taste weird. I'm smoking hydro e-cigarettes because I'm from New Zealand and they are the only ones containing nicotine that are currently available here. (I've ordered some from overseas but they are still on their way) anyway I've found the menthol flavor started tasting really weird and gross after vaping it for a few days. I tried changing the cargo user because I thought that might be it, but the new carto tasted the same.

Oh thanks to you all!! I just got in lots of juices and was so excited to try them out today on my brand new attys. Probably burned a couple of them up trying to taste anything at all. I thought wow what a bust, none of this has any taste at all! I thought maybe some steeping time would be best, but glad to know that it may just be me, and a temporary thing.

What do you mean burned a couple attys? Are they tasting burnt? Just need cleaning if so.

I would rely more on nature's hydrater - water - than artificial means (what's in Biotene?), that's just me. Happy vaping! :)

I like to take a gulp of cold water and hold it in my mouth for a few minutes, and I also have and sometimes use biotene. I do find it kind of funny that one of the ingredients in biotene is....propylene glycol  and when I do lose my taste buds I vape unflavored. I don't want to "waste" my flavored liquids

Interesting that Biotene contains PG. I wonder if I ought to switch to pure PG for a bit. Using 50/50 blend right now, and have tried some 70/30. Maybe it's more of the glycerine that is causing my dry mouth issues. I too have taken to sips of water and swishing it in my mouth for a bit while vaping. It seems to help a bit.

The odd thing is-- I can taste food and drinks just fine, so if the taste buds are fried, I shouldn't be able to taste anything at all right??? That's weird.

Sometimes, food taste goes with vaping flavors...out the door. It can get muted too during one of these attacks. :)
