I just received a t-tip which is expensive. I am going to try this. It looks really easy. Great idea.

It is not necessary to drip directly onto the bridge. The only purpose of the bridge is to wick fluid from the cart filler down to the nickel foam that's under the ceramic cup. If you are not using a cart with filler the bridge becomes completely obsolete. When you drip you can pretty much put the drops anywhere in the atty barrel (no need to aim for the bridge).
I guess what I'm saying is, the pen grip is a good way to not get hot lips from tailpiping, but using the pen tip or pipette for aiming is unnecessary.
Back when I was dripping (before I got tired of having to add drops every 5 minutes), I took the pen grip and just cut about a half inch of it off and stuck that on the atty. This still gave a little insulation for the lips, but made the overall length of the PV a little less, and it still had some rigidity in the mouth. I was always mashing the full length pen grip when I put it in my mouth.

I couldn't agree with you more. The use of an aiming device is totally unnecessary when dripping. However, the pen tip and the pipette both add a bit of rigidity and insure a snug fit between the atty and the pen grip, and helps keep the pen grip from moving around. The pipette also adds a more solid feel to the mod and keeps it from collapsing if you press your lips against it too hard. To me, it just feels more solid and makes it a more pleasant experience. However, a pen grip is all you really need to cover the atty so youre not tail piping a hot atty. The rest is just easy improvements that will hopefully make your vaping experience a bit more enjoyable.
Interesting mod. I have found that just drilling/reaming/filing out a whistle tip for my 510 and cleaning out all plastic scraps works very well too.
I drip all the time, I just throw a cart with no filler on the atty and I'm good to go. I also spent quite awhile straight tailpiping. I liked that for awhile, but then I started getting a weird metallic taste in my mouth when vaping so I started using a cart with no filler. Also, I was getting canker sores on the insides of my lips from juice spitting on them repeatedly.

Thats another good method. What ever works and saves you money is a good thing.
Mr Dr. Vapor, are you a physician as in an actual M.D.? Or do you have a doctorate in something else or is that just a nickname? I ask with respect and out of curiosity.
