Direct Drip/Direct Hit Safe?

Hey everyone, I'm new to everything e-cig.
I got mine a couple days ago, and it was a tough transition.

But I've finally got it to where its satisfying me completely.
Only problem is I don't know if what I'm doing is safe?
Basically what I'm doing right now is I'll take a quick drag with the cartridge on, and then I'll take the cartridge off and hit it from the atomizer.

Is this method safe? It gives such a better throat hit I can't go back to hitting it with those horrible cartridges, they give NO throat hit. Please let me know!

I searched this forum and really could not find anything.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Hello,

The bottom line is we do not know if it is "safe". We think it is much safer then analogs and there is some very good evidence and reasons to think that it is safer---some of which are obvious to us, but until more studies are conducted, we can not "state with 100 percent" certainty that e-cigs lack any safety concerns. When true studies (unbiased) are completed, then we will know. One study down out of New Zealand already has shown that many aspects of the e-cig are in fact much safer then analogs.

As for what you call the method you are using, a Member here by the name of Walrus coined the phrase "tailpiping" where you draw directly off the atomizer, without the use of a cartridge.
