Disappointed in my Indulgence V2

I started vaping a little less than a year ago, and I love it. It helped me kick the analogs, something nothing else I've ever tried could do. I started with Joye 510's, quickly moved on to Ego's and I love them. My coworker picked up a Silver Bullet, and I was shocked to find out how much more satisfying a battery mod hit and tasted compared to an EGo style.

I did a little research, and after looking into the Indulgence and hearing some positive review, it won me over. The different atomizer connections available, different battery options and affordable price were the main reasons.

But when I got it in the mail and charged up the 18350's it came with, loaded it up with a LR 510 and put some TVR Peppermint, my favorite juice, in.... took a toot.... hmm, it seems to be a step DOWN from what I was getting off my 900mah EGo. Vapor is nothing to write home about, throat hit is weak along with flavor, and there's a surprising lack of heat. I tried both batteries, different atties, all while comparing to my Ego.... wtf?

My plan was to order the extending sleeve and pick up an 18650, but now I'm wondering if it's even going to be worth the money. Can somebody give me a little advice?

One thing I noticed was the battery spring it came with in the cup is pathetic, it reminds me of the wire in a spiral notebook. Would getting a copper spring really make that huge of a difference, though?

I have an Indulgence V2 and I strongly suggest getting a copper hot spring from AltSmoke.com. They're inexpensive and will greatly improve your vaping experience with this mod. I also use an 18650 2900mAh battery for vaping at 3.7V with either LR808 or LR901 atties and SC or DC cartos. For HV vaping, I use 2 16340 3.0V stacked with HV 808 and 901 atties.

I really do love this mod and it's been a wonderful addition to my vaping collection. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Any chance you have a multimeter? Just check what voltage your getting from your battery. That may be an issue. (I'm guessing that off the charger, it should be at or near 4.2V).

With such a relatively "small" battery, I'm wondering if perhaps there just isn't enough in it to power LR. Or, perhaps my assumption is wrong and you've got IMR 18350's.

Honestly, the batteries that ship with the Indulgence aren't the best. I immediately went to SuperT Manufacturing and bought AW brand batteries which work MUCH better! I also bought some Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V batteries and these are working very well for me. They're a little small, but I use the copper hot spring that I mentioned earlier and stretched it just a bit so the batteries don't rattle as much.

I went to my local battery shop, no luck on finding a new battery spring. I'll just have to order one off altsmoke. the main reason im making this post is so my post count will raise to 5, because i found someone in the classifieds section selling indulgence parts, some new batteries, an extender cup and passthrough. Now that I'm allowed to post in that forum, I'm going to pick those up and see if they make a difference. Even if i can only get a satisfying vape by using a passthrough, i'll still feel like this purchase wasn't in vain!

EDIT: hmm... Even after my post count has been raised to 5, I still can't contact the seller at all. I have no way to send a PM, and I can't post in that forum. Could someone help me out? I thought the FAQ said after 5 posts I could post in the other forums. Here's the thread, btw: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/classifieds-swaps/211498-indulgence-v2-parts.html

I'd really like to be able to purchase this! lol

Give the forum some time to update your post count and you should be able to PM the seller soon. I promise!

I think it's a good idea to get those extras for your Indulgence. I just recently purchased an extra button section and an extra 901 and 510 cap from VaporJunction.

You can also get some really nice AW brand 18650 2900mAh batteries from Super T Manufacturing!

^Haha sorry, guess I jumped the gun a little bit. It looked like such a good deal, I wanted to buy it before someone else did... but considering that thread's been open awhile, It's probably going to be okay to wait a little longer =)

Wow, the shipping on SuperT is awesome! only $1.35 up to $36??? Insane! The batteries are a little pricey though... I'm guessing they're excellent quality compared to others???

I bought 2 of the copper springs WOH mentioned above and it made a world of difference in 6v. My batteries weren't making good contact so one was draining faster than the other or one battery wasn't being used as much as the other. IDK. I also bought an extra switch so I wouldn't have to keep switching them out between 3.7v and 6v. I also use the RCR123a batteries. I love my Indulgence.

BTW, the guy in the classys doesn't have an extra switch. I checked.

I am having the same experience. My voltmeter says I'm getting 4.2 on a fresh battery but the indulgence doesn't hit nearly as well as an EGO at 3.2 WFT. I order replacement 18350's and that didn't help. So I thought it must be the switch. The Vendor replaced my switch. No difference. I'm wondering if I should order the extended sleeve, or cut my loss.

WomanOfHeart--I value your opinion. I plan on staying only with 510 attys and cartos. Should I order a new sleeve, and a spring. Will it be a step up from EGOS if I do?
