Cartomizers.
Tried CE5, CE4 and look-alike.
Some of those don't last 2 days before there is burnt taste.
Last one tried was some kind TakeAir CE4 style with thick wick. Took 3pack and all 3 of them are giving burnt taste today, bought them on friday...

What to buy that will last long?! I've literally thrown away significant amount of money on cartomizers, actually ~30% more than on analogs for the time frame. And that is without battery and liquid, just these pathetic cartomizers.

Will Vivi nova be good for me? will that last? I'm heavy smoker trying to get rid of analogs (1 and half pack per day, red labels)
Go fully DIY? Not sure if I can handle it and even understand fully. Those are weird...

Semi-DIY? Like taking something like ViVi and replace wick+coil by myself?

I've found the vivi novas good myself DiNet. I have heads that have lasted me 5 weeks and are still going.
One thing - if you get them, get Vision vivi novas. People seem to have a lot of problems with vivi nova knock offs.
Also don't know what pv(s) you're using. You'd be best to buy a few extra vivi heads - at least until you have the rebuild sorted.
Haven't rebuilt them myself, but doesn't look too hard. There's a video here on cleaning and rebuilding if you haven't seen it:
A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube

Another option are the T3s which have been getting good reports from users too.

I really hope so. I did order Vision Vivi nova mini and will get it in few days in hope it will last. Had "red flag" today because of those 3 cartomizers, double thoughts about returning vivi and taking something else.
Yea I've seen those videos, seems very easy to change coil and wick on them. That's why I'm asking. Don't want another money drainage, had enough with analogs.

With cleaning and dry burning they last well. Genuine vivis should work fine for you.

Last time I did that I just tossed cartomizer because wick was totally burnt. I've took it apart and seen it, actually I'm doing it to all cartomizers that got burnt taste now. All of them god burnt wicks. Isn't it the wick that produces burning taste?
I'm not sure about this part either. 1st cartomizer I had was one that came with battery (CE5 starter kit, probably knock off) and I tried cleaning and dry burning after 2 days. Things gone bad with that.
So really my hopes are with horrible knock offs with horrible materials that caused that.

What's your schedule with Vivi? I'm using CE5 battery and liquids are takeAir for now and hopefully by the end of the week I'll get my orders from fusionvapors, heathers and alice. So these are going to be my juices, all 80/20 ratio.

I use the 3.5 ml vivi novas. I clean them after one or two tankfuls. I leave the heads to dry. I dry burn the heads.
When I fill the vivi nova I let it sit for 15 minutes or so - to let it wick up, give it a roll sideways, and vape.
i use them pretty much every day, just rotating the same heads.
The video I linked is good for the cleaning and dry burning part.

I've tried dry burning CE4+, CE5, Vision V3, Kanger T2... none of them was performing well after that. But for some strange reason the Vivi Nova heads (or should I say the wick/coil) are built better and take dry burning preeeety darn well.
I am currently vaping on a head after it's 10th dry burn and still working like a charm, the other one I have was burned like 5-6 times and is working just as well.
I hope you find the cart for you with the Vivi Nova. Whatever keeps you off the stinkies is a win... I wish you luck.

The vision eGo (stardust .. ce4-5) and the Nova's are basically the same, (I even use the same heads in both) however the Novas give you a little more room to work with. There are only two reasons for having a burned taste; #1 to much power, and #2 not wicking. For the wicking you must "tip & roll" your PV so that juice gets to the coil. For the power issue you would need to use higher resistance heads.

    Thanks to everyone for help.

Video is awesome, cleaning part looks really easy and working not like those vids I've seen about cleaning CE4-5 :)

And it does keep me away from analogs for almost a month now :)
Just freaking out about money spending on cartomizers, need to find good one :)

I didn't use vision cartomizers, ce4 and 5 I used were crappy ones that you can't replace heads. I did however include in one of my orders EgoMopHead with replaceable head, same as vivi.

Doing Tip&Roll all the time actually, otherwise there's no taste at all... might be juices, cartomizers or my taste buds are still at horrible state :)

As for power, well, I don't have PV with adjustable power, yet... :) Not sure I really want or need one of those for now, was looking into joytech eVic these past days tho. The eVic I liked by design/aesthetics, I know there are plenty of "Pro" ones, not sure yet about those.
In reality I jumped into vaping solely because I found this starter kit with 2 cigs for 25$, sort of try out.

Edit: Turns out I'm disappointed and ...... at videos I watched before.
Those were ones that instruct you put small amount of water inside carto and shake it... if only I knew to take them apart and really wash them off... saved 1 carto today and some money.
