My first post but been a frequent lurker. Just wanted to give my thoughts on the Phoenix Raven Nest Tank but more specifically on the bottom coil cartomizer that came with it. When I first started vaping, I was using Vivi Nova tanks, Kanger T3s, and eventually a ProTank. It was okay but got tired of the constant gurgling and leaking. I switched to tank cartomizers and I thought I was in heaven but there was always that very little hint of tasting the polyfiller in the cartomizer and, of course, the every once in a while getting a carto dud. Also, the awful taste of a burnt cartomizer...yuck!

I decided to give the bottom coil cartomizer from GotVapes.com that came with the Phoenix Raven Nest Tank a try (btw, not a bad looking tank, a little cheap feeling but looks kicka$$!...see tank on my Varimax). After the first few vapes and getting the wick wet with juice, OMG!! Smooth as silk and the taste of my juices seem enhanced. No hindrance of a polyfiller, just straight juice and the tank constantly keeps the wick wet with 2 pre-made holes where the wick ends on both sides. I've only had it for 2 days and time will tell how long these cartos will last. They are about $3 per carto compared to around $1.50ish for traditional cartos. But if they last longer than what traditional cartos lasted me, then it's worth the price (for me). My traditional cartos lasted me about 5-7 days. If I can go 2 weeks on these, then they are about the same price.

I would like to hear other thoughts from folks who have tried this. And btw, it looks sweet on my Varimax Mod...below.

Cheers all!

I got the original phoenix raven tank(non nested) as my first and only carto tank, and LOVED it, will def be picking the nested one up and few more replacement carto's, should look good on my SS Vamo. Not sure, but would this carto work in any other tanks you know of? Would like to pick up a Phiniac glass tank and try the carto itself out in it.

These are 45mm (XL). I did slide them into my IBTank and Boge F16 tank and it fit perfect. I will definitely be buying these cartos for my other tanks.

I'm totally digging the Ravens from GotVapes as well. I run them in my Phiniacs with no issues, but they may be a tiny big longer than a comparable Boge since maybe a mm or 2 sticks out past the top cap of the tank. A nice bonus is how quickly you can get a tank up and running with the Ravens versus a polyfill carto.

They saved a couple juices for me that I really love, but that didn't play well with my regular Boge cartos. With my Boges, I would be lucky to get half a tank ~2.5ml through before the carto went burnt tasting. I've run 20ml and counting of one of these juices through a Raven with zero issues and taste subjectively better than a Boge and awesome vapor as well.

I've only had one issue with the Ravens, when a tank gets to the last third, vapor production falls off to almost nothing and the carto leaks like heck through the bottom connector. Simple solution? Keep the tank topped off. It's a small trade-off for getting to enjoy some juices that I had almost given up on. I still use more Boges than Ravens though for my other juices. I have a mini-stockpile of Boges and the Ravens are expensive. Cheers!

Totally agree about filling the tank quickly and when the tank gets low, the flavor gets weak. I just refill when the tank is about halfway...totally worth it for the silky smooth vape and flavor!

Hubby and I too both bought one of these when we seen them on vaporjoes blog...and ordered them from gotvapes. I love, love, love mine! I find it rather attractive and elegant, and I love how slim and sleek the drip tip feels...not as bulky as other mouth pieces. I was going to order a couple more since I like to have several juices going at once... (and I keep breaking my clearomizers) but they are sold out :( *sniff, have to wait a while til they get more. I highly recommend this tank!

I'm pretty new to vaping and my friend told me about these and tried to explain the fillerless cartos, but I still don't understand. Without a filler, how do they not flood?

The Raven cartos haave a bottom coil positioned horizontally much like a dripping atomizer. The wick in the coil gets fed with juice from predrilled holes positioned at the wick ends. The tank filled with juice feeds through those predrilled holes constantly keeping the wick wet. I have had problems with clearomizers getting flooded but none with these babies. Not sure how they don't flood, they just work great for me so far.

cheers...
