Disconnecting the indicator light to save batteries?

The plastic cover that covers my indicator light on the end of the battery fell off and I lost it last night. It still works fine, and produces lots of vapor. Now I have this crazy idea of disconnecting the glowing lihgt on the end of my other batteries as well to make the charge last longer. Any thoughts?

Can't hurt! Give it a try and let us know if it extends the batt life or not!

The LED on the battery end uses such a small amount of current compared to the atomizer that you would never notice a difference.

I think I'll wait till I get another spare battery in case I break it or something. Then I can compare. Right now I have 3 different battery types. i still wish I could find the cap to cover up the hole for protection.

You can also get a little gem at an arts and crafts store and use a little glue around the edge to glue it into the end where the plastic cover went. The flat backed ones work well if you can find one that fits. Then you have a glowy gem at the end. I know there was a picture on the forums of one that someone had done this to last year.
