There are some disposables that are single piece units, so you can't reuse any parts. Others, do not have a protection circuit, so you can use the battery all the way down, but then it cannot be recharged. Both of the first two would generally not use batteries that _should_ be recharged either, but the second may be possible (with varying degrees of success) to recharge as long as it never hits zero power.

The final type is what Litecigusa and several others are offering- a cheap rechargeable with reusable parts that's known, by the manufacturer and distributer, to be of somewhat lower build quality. They give a low estimate for what it's capable of so that you can only be pleasantly surprised.
From reports around the forum, apparently most people have been very pleasantly surprised at it's longevity.

Depends on the disposable....

The ones from litecigusa are 510 style and the battery is a lower quality than normal. It is rechargeable but claims to be rechargeable at least three times. In reality, most people are getting A LOT more recharges than that.

There are others where the battery is not rechargeable at all. Kind of like the normal batteries we buy and replace so often! Those are often sold in blister packs at convenience stores. They are intended to be used until dead and tossed.

And then others are listed as disposables when they are cartomizer types. The battery itself is just like regular PV batteries and has an expected lifetime of somewhere around 200 recharges. It is the cartomizer that is considered disposable.
