i purchased a mini vivi nova (made by vision) from myvaporstore.com, and i got a 1300mah spinner. love the battery. but not happy with the nova. i actually like the the knock off clearomizer i got from the local shop. it looks like a vision but a different name. holds probably 2 but marked 1.6. oh, and it is a top coil as the nova is to. the thing is i am not sure why i like it better. not sure if it is because they sent me 3 1.8 ohm heads and the knockoffs are 2.5. but i do know the flavor seems better in the knockoff. i thought about getting a kanger t3, but seems people are having alot of trouble out of them. carto's seems like a good choice but i like the fact i can just dump liquid in and not have to change cartos. i would like something that performs like my knockoff but not be a throw away. i want to be able to change the heads and clean it.

Have you tried a different head on the vivi? They're both top-coil clearos, so with the same juice at the same resistance you should be getting almost identical flavor.

no i haven't. thought about getting some new heads but it seems the air flow is different. i get less air in the vape with the knockoffs. is there a way to lessen the air from the vivi

I don't have a vast amount of experience but have noticed in trying different clearomizers that some juices seem to vape better in one or another ... Cheap enough to order another resistance for your vivi nova but if that doesn't help you might find sometime down the road it works nicely with a different juice.

I'm hoping somebody more experienced will correct me if I am mistaken but I think it sounds like you might be looking for a Vision CE4 Stardust clearomizer which can have the heads replaced. (I also just tried a Kanger & an Evod - only a couple of days but so far so good).

Hope that is of some use - good luck!

thanks for the info. i have been looking at the kangers. but i like the warm hit from the top coils.

I also had the Vivi. It seemed OK at first but there was something missing. I also use carto tanks and in comparison the Vivi flavor was muted and less vapor production. I started scouting around the forum and found many others in the same boat. A number of people suggested the Kanger T-2. It is also a top coil clearo with replacement heads like the Vivi. The Kanger, for me, has a slightly warmer vape. The flavor is better also, much like my carto tanks. I do not know the science behind the difference, maybe it is the shorter wicks or something in the coil design/ material? Either way, it may not hurt to try one. They are actually less expensive than the Vivi.

that could be it. the knockoffs have a way way shorter wick and the flavor seems to be so much better. anygood vendors to get a t2 from?

i turn the volts up for the knock off. turn it down for the vivi.

Alright. Well, a good starting point is 4.4 volts for the 2.4 ohm head and 3.8 volts for the 1.8 ohm head. Dang, adding 2 to the head resistance is a good quick way to set the volts for 8 watts. Its sort of a mathematical coincidence, but it works for this common resistance range.

I love my vivi's 2.0 using 1.8 ohm heads, warm and good throat hit at 7 watts on my Vamo great flavor. I've 4 of these and they all perform well. For me I'm not going to use anything else.

Not 100% sure but thought vivi came with 3 diff coils. 1.8 2.4 and 2.8. Don't know why u for 3 the same if u bought the kit?

Hope it works out for yah mate.

yeah cloudz. after doing the math with ohms law. i was curious too. electrician by trade here. if i get much more the 4 with the vivi its to much.

You might also try a higher ohm head on the Vivi Nova. The coil will be bigger to get the higher ohms. With the 1.8 ohm head on the VN, the wicks might be choked by the tighter coil. If airflow is the issue, you can also trying turning the center pin in the bottom center of the VN where it makes connection with the battery to try and raise it just a bit so it doesn't sit so far into the 510 connector on your battery.
