Distilled Water

I DIY my juices. I'm aware that distilled water must be used as opposed to tap water for mixing juices, but what about the rinsing of equipment and bottles?

Is there any scientific reason for using distilled water to rinse equipment and bottles? Or am I being pedantic by using distilled water?

Tap water should be just fine to clean equipment & bottles, just dry them off afterwards.

It depends on how long you expect something to last. Also bacteria to some extent, although PG is antibacterial.

So...
I use tap water for everything. There's absolutely NO reason to rinse stuff with distilled water because I re-coil every week or two. Even when I rinsed every few days with standard atomizers...they'd last a month or two without issues due to mineral buildup. And I have hard water.

If you were an e-juice VENDOR or if you were mixing in the water for long-term storage of juice (a no-no anyway) you should use distilled. Otherwise, it's a wives' tale IMHO. It seems to make sense, but mostly doesn't except for vendors that use sterile ingredients.

If your water has an off-taste or something, that's different.

When I'm cleaning out my tanks n such, I always use tap water but give everything a final quick rinse in distilled water. Only because our city water is so hard it could possibly leave mineral deposits on the coils and inside the tanks.

Thanks for the advice guys. I can no rest easy rinsing my empty bottles with tapwater. Attypop, lovin' the handle and avatar.
