I have to believe it would be just fine - the RO process takes all the gunk out of the water. I was advised not to use RO water in my car's cooling system, though - they told me it could leach minerals from the block, and to use distilled water instead. But we're not talking about gallons of water sitting in a cast iron container for years.

Thats kinda what i was thinking. The purpose of the distilled water would be mainly not to leave residue behind on the atty im guessing so if all that crap isnt in RO water i would think it would be ok as well.

I just got an idea though, Im going to take some RO water and boil it down to nothing in a stainless pot and see if any residue of minerals etc is left behind.

As the process of reverse osmosis removes MOST minerals and debris from water, it doesn't remove ALL of them. The Distilling process as well as Ion Exchange would create the best and most purest form of water available today, and also make the best resource for any application. On the other hand RO-filtered water would definitely be better than tap or mineral/spring water as they are both loaded with contaminants, calcium, and other minerals from the earth. The minerals, mainly calcium, is what would be responsible for clogging up your atomizer over time.

Well I did try boiling the RO water down in a pot and did find that there was no apparent residue left in the pot. Thats not to say that there isn't some on a microscopic level but nothing the naked eye could see.

I agree the distilled water is the most ideal thinner to use but I feel comfortable using the RO water to mix up my first batch of e-juice.

Just got back from the local candy supply store with 22 different Lorann flavors and a bottle of VG. Time for some fun :)
