I am interested in building a altoid tin mod. I would prefer a vv mod but I can't seem to find any how to guides but it's a little hard to find things on the phone. If anyone able to point me toward a guide or a video that with help me find the parts I need to make it. I'm really excited about making one so any info would make my day

Can't help ya with phone problems.

However, the modder's section has complete information on altoid tin mods (general type) and also on VV mods some of which may fit into a tin.

Note of caution...Altoid tins are metal so be extra careful about short circuits when building the circuit. Plastic boxes are a bit easier in that respect (like the 3xAA boxes).

Anyway see: Modding Forum

Also see MadVapes (link on front page) for some parts and mod kits including a simple stacked battery vv mod with a linear regulator.

Your post count has to be high enough - 15 I believe - before you can access or even see the modding forums on a search. Since you have only recently crossed that post count try logging out and logging back in and repeat your search. If still not visible/accessible you have to wait an hour for the system to refresh.

You could always buy the VV PCB from a vendor and build the rest yourself. I think you can get the DNA 20 PCB. There are other ones too
DNA 20 is really nice, with a well laid out display and simple, intuitive controls - but it (the Nivel too) is extremely expensive compared to the more powerful OKR. For a first build, cheaper components would probably be wise.

I've got a couple DNA boxes on order... I hope they live up to the hype! :)

All good and cool advice!

FYI - I've been using a simple linear regulator (VV) from the MadVapes boxmod kit for over a year. 1 set of two 14500's lasts about 1.5 days for me. YMMV of course depending on usage. I keep promising myself I'll do an Evercool mod or something but there's just no real motivation. :glare:
