Everyone is sold out of the Atomizer and Cartomizer testers and I got tired of fiddling with Multimeter Prongs. I need to check the low OHm stuff that my Provari won't detect. Plus I don't like the idea of constantly screwing the atomizers on a $200.00 unit.

So I made my own. All I had to do is insert the alligator clip into the multimeter ends, strip the wires on the 510 adaptor, and clip them in the alligator clips. The results are matching my Provari.

Ingredients
1. Extech MN 35 Digital Mini Multimeter
Amazon.com: Extech MN35 Digital Mini MultiMeter: Home Improvement
This was recommended on the forum and I'm finding it accurate for reading low ohms.

2. Alligator Clips
Just plug them on top of your prong
Amazon.com: Extech TL807 Insulated Alligator Clips: Home Improvement

3. Preassembled 510 Connector AKA Prewired 510 Connector
It took me hours to find these on the internet and finally I found them in my backyard, with one of my favorite vendors Bogger Box mods. As always Marcus shipped same day.
Pre Assembled Sealed Connector

Now I have a Dead Balls accurate Atomizer Tester that's easy to use.

If you already have a multimeter than the total expense is around $14.00

Here is a box meter in stock:
Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter - Battery / Charger
Here is a kit to make your own:
Ohm Meter Kit

They are a little handier, but I like your idea too.
Try and buy either they are both out of stock and been out of stock more than two weeks.!
That's why I was forced to get inventive.

Believe you me I searched the world for a Atomizer Ohm Meter and no one has had them for two weeks.

I don't think I'm the first to come up with this idea because mad vapes is sold out of the Pre-Wired 510 connectors too. I found the 510 connector through some obscure forum post, a google search doesn't bring up Boggerboxmods.com

nope-they're out of stock, too. i contacted avid vaper and they said they should be back in a week or so, but they seem to fly out of the shop as fast as they're restocked. i've been looking everywhere for one of these, and nobody has them. it's such an essential and seemingly simple piece of equipment, though. if i had the brains and skill to make one of my own, i would... but i don't. lol

if anbody can find these in stock, please let a brother know.

My problem is that I have 2 DMM's and neither one agree with each other or with my SVD. Now it could be that the battery I have is old and weak (I share the same 9v battery between both DMM's until I can get another one) OR it could be that one of them is at least 25yrs old and the other is super cheap. So for now I just trust the SVD readings since that is reading right where the calculated resistance is.

For example I just checked by EVOD, Vivi Nova, and ARO with each of the 3 devices. Here are the results:

itaste SVD
EVOD 2.4 ohms
VN 2.1 ohms
ARO 2.1 ohms

Sperry DM-210A -$10 on Amazon but I inherited it
EVOD 2.6 ohms
VN 2.5 ohms
ARO 2.4 ohms

Scope DVM-630 - I got this one back in the late 80's.
EVOD 2.9 ohms
VN 2.8 ohms
ARO 2.6 ohms

accurate to +-.4 ohms.. hmm.. that doesn't seem accurate enough to me. the others are usually like +-.2 ohms i think..
still a good buy i guess, but i'd like to see how they match up to another device's reading. bah i dno maybe i'll just get one.

That could be detrimental for the sub ohm crowd. Ideally it should be accurate to 0.04 ohms.
