DIY Coil Jigs?

I really like the jig by dark zero. The Micro Puck is cool too, but I would like to try to make my own before spending money. I saw someone posted a picture of them using a c clamp, which is a good option, but I know there have to be more homemade jigs out there.

Anyone made any easy/cheap jigs?

All that is cool and all but we have moved away from wrapping around something and now keep the wire in the spool and twist a mandrel to tension wrap perfect micro coils. Or any diameter coils you want.

Here's an example:

The easiest jig by far is the "coiling gizmo deluxe" by artistic wire. It's anywhere from 7-15 dollars from amazon or michaels.

And if you really want to build your own, all you'll need is a spool of Kanthal, a pencil eraser, a micro screwdriver and some blue painters tape. Here's a vid:

I think it would be in the jewelry making section. I ordered mine online but others have walked into michaels and got theirs
