Hmm that's really interesting. I wonder if Hana connect their USB chip direct to the batteries? I guess the dna screen would not be able to indicate charging if they did that though?
Wow, solar powered mod?! Instinctively I'd worry about the heat and your batteries if it's all in one box.. those solar panels get really, really hot
The Hana I took is a passthrough, it should work fine with a power solar box with 2.1A, we will see with heating problems, for now it's an experiment, 1A from the lappy usb updated 2.0 with a 5V passthrough works very well, it will work at least much better with the new project, I'am not a type to make coils of 0.5 Ohm, I like to keep them around the 2.0 Ohm which Ive heard is perfect for the hana in performance.
