Im about to place an order for some flavorings and want to know what some favorites you may have tried are and why? My personal experience has been mostly with Capella but this time Im getting flavors from Flavor West (FW) and The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) formerly known as The Perfumers Apprentice. What FW and TFA choices are best in your opinion?

I use mostly TFA flavors, don't know what you are into, but I pretty much exclusively vape fruity flavors so these are the basics I recommend:
These flavors are used in small amounts in many of my recipes:
TFA Sweet Cream
TFA Vanilla Swirl
TFA Bavarian Cream
TFA Cotton Candy/E.M/Sweetener

These are flavors that I really like
TFA Banana(Ripe) - Tank cracker, but has an AMAZING banana flavor, spot on.
TFA Blueberry (Extra) - Add this to many recipes, gives a good blueberry hint to your juice without being too bold.
TFA Lemon - Huge fan of a basic Raspberry Lemonade recipe I have, this with some Raspberry(Sweet), E.M, and Tart/Sour

Many of the other fruits it really depends on what you are looking for, I have strawberry, watermelon, grape juice, raspberry(sweet), and some others, but depending on what you like they might not be exactly what you are looking for. I find the strawberry isn't great(Like a dried strawberry), I have heard better things about Strawberry(Ripe), the watermelon is alright, but haven't gotten it to pop yet for a straight up watermelon vape. Grape juice tastes like cheap grape sucker, I made do with it, but I am guessing another supplier has a more accurate grape flavoring. Many of these I find are great adding to other recipes, but as base flavors they fall a little short.

@defdoc

I might have to mix that up tonight, I haven't had much luck with a good FV recipe yet. Thats a whole lot of menthol though.

For TFA flavors:

Basic Flavorings

Vanilla Swirl
Vanilla Custard
Vanilla Cupcake
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Sweet Cream
Bavarian Cream
French Vanilla Cream
Dulce de Leche
Cotton Candy
Sweetener
Brown Sugar
Graham Cracker
Pie Crust
Marshmallow
Sweet and Tart
Butter
Cinnamon Danish
Hazelnut
Koolada

Fruits:

Lemon
Apple
Banana Cream
Bananas Foster
Juicy Peach
Pineapple
Coconut
Strawberry
Raspberry

You will use these ingredients in 99% of your mixes. Of course, there are many others, but if I were starting out, knowing what I now know, these are the first ones I would buy. Single ingredient mixes will only vary rarely work. You do need the creams, vanillas and sweeteners which not only add depth, richness and texture, but also act as primary flavor enhancers. They work wonders. :D

Do I own all of those basic flavors (not including the fruits), and quite a few more? I plead the 5th. The creams and vanillas are particularly important. Just toss a few of those around, add a primary like strawberry, and you're 80% of the way to a great vape.

By the way, here is a great sister post of his that details ways of using the above.
